I'm going to attempt to make a forest background for my deer Makime's biography.

She hangs around our house since my parents have the bad habit of feeding them corn... I wish they'd stop. But it is a good opportunity to look at them up close.

When I come to pages, often times I already know what I am going to say. Here, I was coming to say "why aren't I stalking this?"

Of course, when I saw there is art here, that immediately took precedent in my mind.

For this reason, I watch not only to I can stalk you, but also so I can see what I miss.

Omg, I could just watch you draw for hours! ...Actually that's kind of what I've been doing. xD Thank you so much for showing your work process! I feel like I've learnt so much just from one of these vids.

Btw, I always knew you were amazing, but watching you draw, I'm completely overwhelmed. I'm like sitting here with my jaw in my hands. I guess in seeing just finished pictures I haven't truly noticed the exact amount of excellence at work here. Okay please brace yourself for my unbridled love because it's rant-o-clock:

It strikes me how each of your drawings is so full of emotion, which is really more than anything what draws me to your art, and what I always miss in art that doesn't have it. But in your art (and even simple sketches) the emotion really hits me with force. What's more, you're the absolute master of creating interesting shapes, it's like zip - zip - zip - SUDDEN AWESOMENESS. D: And your lines! I don't even know how to describe them. But they are so full of imagination and life! Each little curve or angle and variation you make really brings out the best of the shapes. Looking at your lines and shapes it's like... they come to life, and are just so much fun for the eyes and brain to play with. (Sorry I'm sort of rambling trying to get my point across. I wish I was more eloquent!) Not to mention how your hand is just so FAST and sure in producing all this! I can't tell you my reaction when I realized you were working on only one layer. It's all just... SO PRO. You should be an animator or something! Are you? I freaking want to see movies in your style please. D:

How have you learnt to be this good? Do you have incredible natural talent, or is there hope for mortals like me? LOL xD

Gurgelin, you gave me a great big smile... thank you so much. I understand what you mean because I feel that way watching other painters and artists drawing.
My ability is from drawing often and wanting to improve. Part of it is being humble and looking at other's work to learn. Part of it is looking at my own timeline and accepting that I've improved and will keep improving if I keep going and if I quit I will never get any better.
I move quickly because I have done the same thing maybe 100,000 times, and even if I haven't, I've done something similar I can use as a jumping-off point. But there is still so much to learn. All one layer feels faster for me than layer management but layers are an amazing tool for safely altering an image.
If you draw a lot your speed will improve and if you want your art to change it will change. It's just time and continuing forward.

I'll look forward to it, too.
