Okay, I was freaking out for mine to be taken out, because mine were wonky. Honestly, they knocked me out to have mine done, just because the oral surgeon didn't want me to be uncomfortable while he was yanking out the teeth. If you're out for it, it's not that bad. The worse that happened for me was my face puffing up- granted it affects everyone differently. But don't freak out, I know you'll be okay!

It hurt after the fact though, but if you take the meds they give you, you should be just fine. By the way, put your username back to greyhorn, so you can answer.

I want to share my experience simply because I was told I was going to be back to normal in a few days, when, in fact, I wasn't able to eat properly for 2 weeks. Apparently my experience was very abnormal, but I was completely unprepared for it. I just wish someone had told me this could happen.
When the anesthetic wore off, I remember crying from pain. The first day or so was ok, the pain meds worked well, but I remember the swelling being so uncomfortable in general. For some reason, I started throwing up the pain meds. We went to Tylenol, and that seemed to work until one night where the pain became so bad it felt like my entire left side of my body was on fire. It was by far the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life. Fortunately, we were able to find some leftover medicine from my sister's surgery, and thankfully I didn't throw it up.
The next week and a half I was eating mush food. I ended up losing 10 pounds (but I gained it back after, hehe). For that to happen in 2 weeks is really outrageous, especially for someone my weight.
I'm not trying to scare you, and most people are back to normal within a week and don't have any problems, but I feel like the worst thing is to have a really bad time of it and not being prepared for it.

It's not that bad at all! I was totally freaking out when mine had to be taken out. Worst part was the IV to knock me out (because needles are terribly horrible and just need to gtfo). The pain for me was minimal (probably because any sort of painkiller knocks me out LOL) unless you irritate the holes (I didn't get stitches).

I hope that's my case with the pain meds. Like I said, I'm a big baby when it comes to pain especially pain involving my teeth. I have to agree with you about the needles. I hate them!

Okami- lol! I haven't had any of mine taken out and I really don't want to go. I was supposed to have them removed a couple of years ago but I didn't have the money to do it. I finally saved up the money after getting motivation from the pain they are causing me. It's going to be around 800-900 range. I'm so glad it's tax time. (:

I`ve never gotten my wisdom teeth pulled out (in fact, they`re still growing in! XD) but I do remember getting my loose teeth pulling without warning. One moment, I was laying there on the table, and another moment, the dentist just swooped in and started yanking away. I had no idea what was going in, and I started crying. It was only because the adult teeth were growing in underneath them, I think, but it was still pretty scary XD

Anyway, good luck to you! Even if the turnout isn`t so good, you`ll feel better in time. Maybe it won`t be as bad as you think <3

Lol! Oh lord I feel stupid now. Anyway yes it's going to be surgery as the roots have grown very. Close to the nerve in my jaw. He said he could pull my second molar out but why would you want to pull out a perfectly healthy tooth? So he decided not to do it that way.

Ok decided to do an update during one of the rare moments I'm awake. It went well. I look like a chipmunk... Won't be on for a couple of days. Miss ya guys.
