I've kind of been wanting to try that myself but haven't been sure how to set it up. What did you do?
iirc the game allows joysticks but I never heard about 360 controllers. I was figuring I'd just have to set it up with joy2key.
Well my 360 controller is a wireless, so I had to buy a wireless gaming receiver for it to work with my PC. If you have a controller with a USB I think you can just plug it in. You might have to download some software drivers from the website, I can't remember exactly... but it's pretty easy to set up! I had a few issues to begin with but Google helped me with them. As soon as you know your PC recognises your controller, just go to the control settings in TEF and mess around with the settings there!
EDIT :
It's much more smooth/enjoyable for running around the forest, but it's nearly impossible to interact because I can't get the action buttons to work properly.
Yep, I've got a wireless one too and all the drivers for it. I had a hard time when I first did it because, for some reason, even though Windows has the drivers for it pre-installed it gets totally confused by the wireless adapter. Very silly.
What I was kind of hoping to be able to do would be map buttons on the controller to different in-game actions. In-game you can use the changeable hotkeys (F1-12) and stuff to interact and I'd want to set those to the D-Pad and triggers, hold A to run and press X to jump and stuff.
I use a program called Joy2Key to set functions on the controller but I haven't used it for a while since I mostly use it for SNES ROMs or the controller as a remote for my computer like a TV. If I get something to work with Joy2Key that makes it easier to interact I'll let you know

Ohh, yeah that sounds like it
Huh. I tried to do something
EDIT: Joytokey looks pretty interesting actually. I'm gonna download it and try it out! Thanks!
