Obligatory disclaimer, I don't make music, so no music lingo from me. That said, the whole thing sounds is a bit muffled. Is the original recording the same way? Maybe tone down the hall effects slightly. It's a little grating in the highs.
Also, the last, highest note ('find you') felt kind of.. unintegrated? It came kind of sudden and threw me off. It felt chopped off of the rest of the song, if that makes sense. Love the singing otherwise, but can't give you any tips there though, sorry haha.
Yeah, the original recording is quite low quality as I don't have a microphone, but I tried to cover it up as best as I could. And failed XD;;
As for the echo (I suppose that's what you meant by hall-effect?) you've got a good point there and I should probably do something about that. Not much, though, since it's the primary part that brings the unsettling element in there. And that last high note... Yeah, I failed on that XD;; I'm by far not a professional singer, though I AM a soprano, so it's more than just a little rough since I haven't had any training.
