I can't connect! jAj

So I haven't played TEF for a while, so I thought I would actually get on again. I can't.

For the past few days I haven't been able to connect to the server. I can connect to the internet, and it usually says there's around 37-40 people online. But when I try to connect, it keeps saying "Error" or "Connecting" or "Not Connected."

It can't be that the server is down if other people are able to get on. I have the very newest version of the game too. :C

Check the firewall. probably not the problem but it's worth a try.

Otherwise uninstall and reinstall the game if you haven't already done that, just remeber to save any screenshots and the Spelldata.

If you have Vista, try right

If you have Vista, try right clicking your game and click 'run as administrator.'

**And the firewall isn't blocking the program. :/

Do you use Internet Explorer?

Do you use Internet Explorer? If so make sure it's not set to 'work offline'.
Oh, also try to connect by ticking/unticking the 'connect automatically' box.

No, I use firefox. And the game is it's own program, what does that have to do with IE?

And the 'connect automatically' box thing didn't do anything to help. Still not connecting. :/

IE can still affect it. If

IE can still affect it. If it's set to "work offline", it doesn't allow TEF to connect to the server.

I'm so sorry it's giving you troubles ;o;
Sometimes it does the same thing to me every now and then. This probably sounds really stupid, but I've found that leaving TEF alone for a few days will clear it up.

And.. well, since my punts seem to help a lot of things most of the time..

Strange... I tried opening up

Strange... I tried opening up my IE browser, and it won't let me connect to the internet! But I can through Firefox..

I even set everything to default on IE and reset all the settings.. still won't connect! I wonder if that's also the problem that's causing TEF to not connect?

That's probably the problem

That's probably the problem then. Look in the options to see if "work offline" is checked off. Just click on it and it should be set to being online again.

What sort of problems are you having, CrystalLeaf? Can you be more specific with what's happening? Does your game start up or is it crashing? Or are you just not able to connect? (8
