-Please don't be afraid to interact with any of my characters; interaction is welcome! I can be reached at the contacts at the bottom, feel free to hit me up. I have anxiety so sometimes I"m quiet and sometimes I take a while to approach people as well.
If you have any issues with me/my characters, please PLEASe don't be afraid to talk it over with me, I'd rather it happen than hear about it around gossiptalk. I like to think I'm pretty easy to talk to!
We may have never interacted in tef, but youve always struck me as a nice person regardless and have always been around during my almost six years of teffing. If I were asked to name some peeps from tef who have left an impression, you would be among the first names.
My dog likes to lie on my parents' bed in the evening before my mom makes him move (he always chooses her side to lay on). And sometimes he'll push the sheets down. I've watched him stand on the bed, stick his nose under the sheets, and push them down with his nose. He seems to prefer laying on the uncovered part of the bed. Usually he only pushes them down about halfway, but there have been a few times where he's taken the sheets completely off the bed or only left one corner on.
That's not the only weird thing he does, but it was the first thing I thought of since he just took the sheets almost all the way off their bed this evening.
You might have pulled a muscle or something. I've had that happen before. It's actually pretty easy to do and it hurts like hell. It can take a few days to heal. I found that heat pads really help a lot, though. Something like Bengay or IcyHot can work, too.
Oh my, that must suck. And your back is still hurting? I guess it can take a while to get better, but if it goes on much longer I wonder if you should consider seeing a doctor about it.
Thank you for the kind words everyone. She's getting around okay right now, the trick is trying to keep her from being so active, she's so used to being able to do everything she wants, and it's tough now.
We'll make it through.
Slow healing is still healing, so that's good. Still holdin' out hope that she can avoid surgery.
If she's mostly husky, hoooboy, plus terrier, hound, and inu? You have yourself a little headstrong energy ball. It might not work for her, but a friend of mine used it for when his horses wouldn't stop running around their paddocks- he kept their halter leads on to slow em down a little bit. If she wears a collar, a light (or heavy) leash while she runs around on her own could get her to slow down a bit? Of course, she's still healing and I don't know what possibly tripping could do to her. A thought, at least.
Sharing a sad story: My dad had a springer spaniel that was just a load of prey-drive, especially for rabbits. Well, she was getting old, had gotten diabetes and was on shots daily.. And, as a lot of spaniels can, her hips..went out.. My dad sadly recounts the horrible sight of her running full tilt after a rabbit.. with just her front legs.. her back end dragging on the ground. She wanted that rabbit, even..like that..
So. Keep her in your sight. For her sake, and your heart, you may want to think about supervised leash-pottying her until she gets better. Just in case, if she's not wanting to take it easy.
I neglected to mention that she's on-leash all times when walking outside. I don't trust her off lead and we live way too close to a busy road. There has been moments when she's broke loose but otherwise she is always on a leash. Which is different for me because our other dog could be 100% trusted off leash.
The problem at night is she sees things I don't, even with the big spotlights we have and she lunges so fast. I wasn't even barely out the dorr with her when she charged down the steps and fell.
My other dog tore both her ACLs so I'm hoping she never does the same
Sent a message to you on Skype, no idea if you got it or you're just not online. But if your roads are as bad as they are up in Hoosick Falls, you're in my thoughts. Stay safe.
I haven't been on Lacie so I didn't get it ;_; our roads were awful yesterday but they're -nothing- like there, just down in the road in Cohoes it got pretty bad by the river but I'm safe. I feel bad for everyone in Hoosic falls. I'm gonna reply to you on Skype too, but I don't know if you're still on vacation and won't see it before you see this- and if you're not, I hope everything in your neck of the woods is okay.
Yeah, I'm still on vacation. We're on our way to Mt. Rushmore right now actually. We're gonna be gone for another few weeks. But you can hit me up on Skype anytime. <3
Apparently things were crazy at home, but my sister said everyone and everything's fine. Same here, it's scary how bad it is up there.
