How do you play The Endless Forest?

The title basically says it all, haha. ': D I'm just curious to know how different people play this game as there really isn't any one fixed way to enjoy of the Forest.

Do you normally play TEF while role playing on an instant messenger with another player(s), or do you have community site open while in-forest to update your deer's bio in real-time and perhaps rp in the comments, or do you play old-school without any kind of verbal communication, and if so, do you imagine in your head what your deer and the other deer are discussing about? Or in some other way?

I always have community open

I always have community open when I play TEF but I'm bit lazy with updating my characters' bios while playing but I do updated them if something interesting happens. I'm also always online in MSN/Trillian and every now and then end up roleplaying there and in-forest. :>
With not-so-familiar deer I usually interact with only in-forest as I usually don't have their player in my MSN/Trillian contacts and I find it really hard just to start roleplaying with them in their bios.

I play the game the way it

I play the game the way it has been interpreted by the creators. I don't RP here, I don't focus heavily on character bios at all, I just play and have fun, maybe post some art here and there.

Whenever I play, I will have a messenger open in case someone wanted to chat with me, but otherwise I just like to meet and interact with any random deer I run into.

i play all three ways!

i play all three ways! normally i have the forest open and running, with tefc and a messenger open in the background to chat/rp with people and update their blogs.
sometimes its nice to close everything though and just play on the forest.

It also depends which character I'm playing. Several of mine don't speak and rely heavily on in-Forest interactions; others speak selectively.

I generally only have TEFc

I generally only have TEFc open while I play in-forest, but I'm pretty bad about updating my character's blog after I leave the Forest, and almost never ever update while still interacting. I don't have an instant messenger, so yea :'D

I never use messenger while I

I never use messenger while I play (probably because my whole computer would meltdown). If I have a random encounter in the forest I will usually post a response from my deer on their bio (I identify them using the forest map). Or I just update my deer's bio with their experience of that day. This is when I'm playing as one of my established characters.

I also sometimes play as random pictographs just so I can freely be a deer without a whole personality that I have too follow.

It's fun to mix up how you play!

A lot of people play differently and thats the wonderful part of TEF! <3
