Hello forest.

Hello, deer friends. I am ouo, formerly a lonely guest deer. Now I get to wander as an adorable fawn!

I already kind of get the game because of my former guest deer-iness.

Biggest successes so far: Getting hotkeys memorized, posting a picture!, finding the forums, and picking up some red flowers.

I lag alot so I don't have any buddies yet. What can I do to fix that? I also have a few more tech difficulties. Can I post them here or can i get some kind of link maybe? My new windows 8 is messing a few other games up, could that be the reason?

TEF is a generally buggy

TEF is a generally buggy game, by virtue of being an older indie build.
There are a few technical support suggestions here, but most things tend to work themselves out if they're just connection issues.

Thank you for the welcomes! The forest is very inspiring, I've been drawing so much of my fawn.

I want to ask something

I want to ask something though! You know how people do kind of a slow hop? like, little short jumps rather than the normal jump while walking? I can't do that! Is it a glitch you have to exploit, or...?

I also can't turn left while jumping/leaping. I see deer jumping all the time, so I know it must be something with me.

By my understanding, some keyboards are wired so that certain keys use the same power tracks and cannot send their signals at the same time. The cheaper the keyboard, the more tracks that are shared. Mine has an issue with the arrow keys being pressed at the same time, so I can't turn left if I'm walking or running. I've gotten around this by using WASD to turn and arrow keys to manage forward/back. Since the keys are on opposite sides of the board, they're less likely to share power tracks. Sometimes I have to use the right shift key instead of the left shift key in order to achieve what I want to do, as well (such as with airsitting, as the left shift and my escape key share the same power track).
The slow hop comes from the up/down arrow keys being pressed at the same time ('walk' as opposed to up only, which is 'trot' and shift+up which is 'run'), plus the space bar or H key to jump.
