Alright. I know a ton of people that have deer that are larger than normal.
My question: Would that justify a Mini-spell for a deer...say... the size of a Whitetail or smaller?

Most of the deer that are (actively) in the forest are in the Elk (#17), Moose (#5), and Irish Elk (#15) range, right? Definitely larger than a Whitetail (#7).
I am curious as to what people think about this, considering that whitetails are about mid-range for deer size, maybe slightly on the small side.
Edited for Accuracy!
(And yeah, this may influence Poplar, but this really is more about how the forest is seen than my particular character.)
If you're really aiming for
Mini-spell tends to have a stronger visual effect since it's not the "norm", so mini-deer are read as small more than big deer are read as huge.
I have not noticed this huge-deer trend too much personally. As much as I've seen it's actually fairly balanced (though there is definitely a link between what personality a deer has and which size a player decides to choose for them, or vice-versa). I'd actually like to take a look at this.
Most deer are - actually -
But a lot of super active deer are pretty big, so. LOL. Not saying there aren't giants, but yeah.
I've noticed a pretty good
I don't think a Whitetail would demand a mini spell. I have it setup for Sianna that way(That she should), but that's mostly because during the time that bit was added to the bio, it was more of a visual effect in-forest since she was interacting with much larger deer then. Still I hardly ever used/use it.
If you like the mini spell however, go for it.
