First Post - I'm enchanted.

I downloaded The Endless Forest, after researching experimental games, and reading about one of Tale of Tales' projects in a magazine.

I expected TEF to be interesting, what with it's focus on communication through animal gestures, and free gameplay... But I never expected to be this enchanted, and entranced by the Forest, and the wonderful deer inside.

I've played other multiplayer online games, and to be honest - they irritate me terribly. Players are often ignorant, and are only in it for themselves. However, with the Forest it's a completely different story. There's a real sense of family between deers. Even deer I have never met nod their head in respect, when greeting myself and others, and entertain the fawns by casting spells generously.

It's something I've never seen in a game before - this sense of community, and support of eachother, and I am really impressed.

I don't know how often I'll update this blog, but for now I'm going to end it by saying this.

Thank you Tale of Tales, for creating such a superb game, and thank you for the players for making my first experience of the Forest what it has been. While the Forest would be impressive, no matter who is playing in it - I feel that the welcoming I've observed in game, and in this community is what makes it that bit more special.

Welcome to TEF, for a first; and second, you're quite right.

The Endless Forest gives us a sense of tranquility one would not often find much anywhere else, and we really are a big family. And you're a part of it ;3

Welcome.

I'm really glad you feel so

I'm really glad you feel so positively about the game. I happen to feel the same way; I've been playing the game on-and-off for about a year now, and I still feel the same way that I did when I first loaded up the game.

I hope you continue to play TEF, and I hope you continue to find it as enjoyable and entertaining as you do now. C:

I'm sorry that this is

I'm sorry that this is ~completely~ out of place and that I'm needlessly bumping this post, but I just found out through your profile that you like Post-Rock, and I was just wondering.. if you could.. perhaps.. suggest me some bands or songs you like?

Unplugged - Hey, don't

Unplugged - Hey, don't apologize!!!! =D

Hmm... Post Rock is probably my absolute favourite genre of music... Have you listened to Sigur Ros? (They were the first band that got me into the genre). Actually, I'll just list some favourite bands -

- Sigur Ros
- Efterklang
- Mogwai
- Eluvium

Sigur Ros are very atmospheric. Efterklang are... Strange, but rather excellent. Mogwai are very dark, and have a lot of loud guitars. Eluvium is very relaxing, and sounds almost completely classical...

Haha, I'm not really an expert on Post Rock >.< But I hope you like at least one of the bands I suggested!

Feel free to comment again, no matter how out of place your comment may be!

It's rather hard to find other Post-Rock lovers out there. Sticking out tongue

I know what you mean! I know

I know what you mean! I know ONE other person here, who likes post rock. It's unfortunate that it's not as popular as it should be...

Definitely listen to Efterklang. I was a bit... confused by them, at first. Some songs are really strange. But, once I listened properly I was amazed =D

Hope you enjoy! See you in the forest =]

I tried to introduce some of

I tried to introduce some of my friends to Post-Rock, but they either didn't understand why it was without text or it was too 'boring and monotonous' for them.

And don't worry, I'm also a huge fan of odd-sounding music, heh.
