They got John Wetton back for the new albums Phoenix and Omega. That was the original singer for Asia, who did the original self-titled album, Alpha, and Astra, before John Payne came in and did the other albums (Arena, Aria, Aqua, and Silent Nation).
I actually got to hear Asia at a free concert, but it was John Payne with some other musicians who had played with Asia before. Still was pretty awesome getting to hear them, he even sang some of John Wetton's songs like "Sole Survivor" and "The Heat of the Moment". So yeah, they sound like the original Asia because it's the original group.
...yes, I know. I was a spaz over Asia so I learned everything I could about them. Other Asia fans are very, very hard to find.
