When you've said that you're re-thinking his art after reading his bio, I didn't know that you'd capture the core of his very being in such an accurate way. I was so shocked when I saw it, it truly made me think ''this is as Fjara as Fjara gets.'' Thank you so much again, it's made my entire week, possibly month maybe this entire ye- you get the gist ! Yesterday I could get into the zone and grab this to finish it from my files, but almost immediately went to sleep after posting, because of work )
I'm not sure if I drew it on the stream you joined or if you remember(it's been three months lmao), but initially I wanted two lines of little fishes clipping through his head, orange and white. I might see if I can execute that sometime later, of which you'll be notified, hehe.

It makes me very happy to hear that. I'm glad I could carry over his essence through this piece, and there's so much more to do and explore visually with Fjara. The "as Fjara as Fjara can get" is an honor to receive, thank you. :') I also am a big fan of the faces you give to your characters, there's a certain softness they carry that really captivates me. It takes a lot of strength to be soft and gentle, as Saater mentioned above. And also not to get into clichés but there are open doors to christianity somewhere around Fjara with all the fish symbolism and him being in the forest, which would be fun to explore given that the game and the developers clearly draw inspiration from it. :j

Your art is genuinely one of the best things that happened to this community. Unique, thoughtful, textured, gorgeous. I adore your work and the way you layer things. It's so tactile. The way you achieve a very old-school 3D render look with some of your characters is mind-blowing too.

Edit: Also, gonna throw in my Hydde and Savva into the ring, but only if they catch your eye!

klownda - I already expressed it on discord, but that makes me so happy!! The other concept of Fjara art that I mentioned previously(a year ago,,,,,) is still in my mind... It has yet to be born...

Hydde - '//w//'
Savva appeared in my head in a different manip that I started doing actually! He was gonna be laying down on the bank of the pond on the top left with a front leg hanging close to the water. That piece however turened out to be a bit more dimensional than the impression I had initially so I kept it and started another(this one) for Savva. I was inspired a lot by the images on that national park's gallery that you linked as a credit to the photomanip of him. I'm really glad you like it. I usually prefer to draw hooved beings, but I used to be huge on drawing big cats when I was younger <3

To everyone, thank you for requesting, it brings me a lot of fun, challenge and good photoshop sessions to try to bring these characters to life through my photomanips or paintings. I have more plans and I'll be looking through these links again when I do them next time <3 and until then, feel free to link more characters!

I loved TLK to death(and still do) but I never got into the whole TLK sphere, I think I was too socially awkward/shy for that :,D I was more of an IT-FH kid and had a lot of OCs in those games (that I mostly mused with,,,) and my oldest OC is a fallen angel lioness who ruled over hell itself.... I like to think that she still exists out there..... in IT, if you're maybe familiar with the custom map "Party" (I think thats what the name was??), that's where we RP'd with my friends. It had a fort and a village and you could enter from "Castle".

I am glad that it makes you happy Karame! Brings me endless (forest) joy, and I still stand by saying ''its as Fjara as Fjara gets'', and the fact he's unmasked in that art... I hold it really dearly. Fish is still very much on my mind too

All three of the photomanipulations turned out absolutely incredible, took me a while to even formulate any words here tbh. I adore the feeling in Otto's; knowing his written characterization/background made the piece super hard hitting, and the overall atmosphere when I read it is so contained and heavy... combined with his hunch over, and how close he is to the viewer... I can't put it to words, but the feeling there is something else. I wish to pick him up and run off into the sunset.

Savva's feels like from another dimension entirely. I adore how light he feels, in his movement, colors of the overall piece and readiness to leap into water (which has such an interesting texture, my brain can't decide whether its solid or liquid). It's like accidentally witnessing a glimpse of something ethereal before it disappears in a matter of mere moments. I would also pick him up, but I fear he'd maul me (?please confirm/deny Hydde LOL)

AND AGULA... my beloved(loathed) Bloodmane. I swear, any corner I look at I find a new thing to think about. The overall atmosphere here, the almost tangled horror vacui of the reed-like elements, the fragmentation of scenery in every direction where you look, jagged edges that appear throughout, and the general unrest.. actually, genuinely chef kiss. I found your choice to depict both Otto and Agula very !!! :eyes:, and considering Agula is his father, I keep reading both of the pieces simultaneously. I really enjoy that he's so far away from the viewer (unlike Otto, who'd be in his direct line of sight if we overlap the pieces ), yet still making direct contact with the viewer. The break in the background 'reeds', and the movement that goes through him... combined with what he's standing over makes him all that more unsettling. The fact his face reflects twice, and is so ambiguous in terms of features overjoys me, given how 'fragmented' his identity is... if he has any at this point. And in all of that, the fields of flowers are still blooming... ye- im about to say 'this is as Agula as Agula g---'
This is a wonderful work of art, I'll treasure it deeply.

Forgive the dissertation about my personal interpretations of the pieces here, your art moves me, and makes me think in a way that's hard to summarize. It's an experience. All that to say: I adore this.
That all being said, I am genuinely running out of places to put your art as the background, I'll need to figure this out.
