Lu again, here to belt crazy words at you guys.

There was a really good response to my other blog. You probably know the one. Quite a few promises to be more active, lots of agreeing. I appreciate it, I really do.

But problems aren't so easily fixed, right? We still have work to do. Acknowledgement is the first step. Actually doing something is another, my friends. So I'd like to propose something to make it easier, yea? I think it could be fun. It's been suggested in the past.

I'd like for people to try picking a character they've never seen before...never talked to, never heard from- maybe they're nothing but a picto right now. And I want you to try attaching to them for a few hours in the forest. Once a day. You don't have to abandon your friends, either. Pull them along with you. Play with these new characters, watch them, fight them if that's what they're into. Could even just sit and rest beside them. Just interact.

And if they have a bio, post on it. Anything from a little 'hi', to a snippet of rp. Look through your character's eyes... what does your character see? How do they feel about this company, who may have exposed, seeping flesh and bone, or a brilliant white hide? Let's not just glance, but really look at the characters around us. Get into the experience of it. I think a lot of us look at this game from a third person view. Let's try a first person for a little bit. There are so many opportunities to be had.

Opportunities that I see being overlooked.

...how you guys would feel if you could buy small, personalized replicas of your deer's masks?

--Also, how would you guys feel about busts? Or sculpted heads? o_O I know that has the possibility of appearing morbid, but that's not my intention. Not a...trophy head, but more of a token/memorial/honorable sort of head. Think greek bust, perhaps. Or for the heads without necks, perhaps hung on leather strips.

I do love sculpting deer heads, and would like to try humans, but anything from the neck down gets a bit tricky. So.
Just curious to see if anyone would be interested in something like that as well.

Over the course of...maybe a year, maybe two, I think all long time players who've been involved enough have noticed a downturn in the site's traffic. With that, it's quality...for some of us, the 'magic'. I know so, so many who've quit this site in the past months, just because they've lost inspiration, motivation, or feel like they've fallen out of the 'group'. I've been told by a few that this is unavoidable.

However, I disagree.
I think there's something very simple that many of the active players about can do. Simply: Commenting. We're all guilty of it...seeing something, having something to say, but not bothering to type it out. Maybe having a question...maybe telling yourself 'I'll comment on that art later'. And forgetting. Or not involving yourself in a plot, because you believe you need to be in an exclusive group to be welcomed.

I'd like to invite everyone to step outside their boarders. If you have something to say, anything at all to anyone- say it. Even the most simple words can mean something, to some people. The more intricate the better. If you meet someone in the forest, say hello on their bio. If a character is acting strange, ask why. If you like someone's artistic technique, mention so. Find someone you haven't spoken to before, and strike up a spontaneous role play.

Words aren't as insignificant as you might think.
So get out there and make some words for your fellows, TEFc.
I know so many who would appreciate it.

Just a spontaneous thought.

I'd like to hear obscure facts about people's characters. Silly little things you wouldn't generally put on their bio. They're fun, imo...add some life. So please, share away.

For example:

-Brighteyes can't whistle- not properly, anyway. The scars on his lips hinder him. If he tries to mimic bird sounds at all, it's in fairly grotesque and inventive ways.

-He hates chocolate. It's a texture thing.

-This one is actually a little embarrassing. He loves hair...pretty much everyone he's close to has had their hair done by him at least once.

-He has a lot of trouble saying 'squirrel'. 'Plushrat' is the alternative word he's adopted from Jack.

-He has a thing for using the gash through his cheek in weird ways to get a reaction. This involves letting his tongue hang out it and eating/showing teeth through it.

Please excuse the little dope if I need to sit him down.

The game crashed today and won't allow us back in.
