Moon Theif let out a snarl as he saw the wolf run, but in his way from finishing the wolf was Pain. "Step aside Pain." He spoke through his teeth, walking fastly towards her, his head aching.

Moon Theif bit back his scream of anger and let out a snort and hissed under his breath. "Fine!" He yelled back. "If you're going to let the ONE thing that ruined my life back into my life AND into the life of our fawns, then I don't want to stand here and watch!" He bellowed, turning away and galloping to the pond.

He was pissed, and swore if something else pissed him off he would kill it. He splashed his hooves into the water and soached his acheing head, trying to drowned away the memories of what had just happened.

''go after him mom'' Val woulden't let her eye of Fleur she. layed down besides her showing that she trust her

Moon Theif's ears twitched as he heard someone appraoching and he raised his head warily, ready to face the intruder. His muscles ached a bit but that wouldn't stop him from killing that wolf if it came near him. His eyes glinted with sorrow and anger as he kept them facing the intruders way, unkowning it was Pain.

Moon Theif's ears were filled with a familar voice right before his nose was flooded with Pain's scent. "Pain ..." He said with releaf and letting his head sink once again towards the water before quickly lifting it back up again and whirling around to face her. "You didn't bring that wolf here did you?" He said, almost a whisper as he quickly survayed his surroundings.

"No...," Pain responded, her voice small. She shifted from one leg to the other.

"She's probably in a coma," Pain added, moving herself into the pond. "Thanks to you."

She gazed out into the water, watching the Koi slowly swim past each other.

"I came to...umm...apologize, I guess." She kept her eyes on the water. It helped her remain calm and not raise her voice. "I'm sorry for...uhh...yelling at you. But...you have to leave the past, in the past...because..How would you expect to dwell in the present? You hurt Fleur. I don't care if she is a wolf, or someone you just hated...She is still a person. Very young, but she is a person. She has a personality and a smile and a life. Like you.

"Would you want someone to hurt you like that? Because of your differences? I was different, I am different. I know that I don't want anyone to hurt me like that, but that's already happened hasn't it? I just hope that you don't give that girl the same memories because of that concusion."

Pain glanced back at Moon and then back down at the grass in the water. "I'm not asking you to change. I'm just asking for you to not hurt her. Tolerate her...respect her."

Pain gently turned, swishing around the water as she left it.

Pain sighed and moved closer to him. When she looked at Moon, she noticed his eyes were dialated.

"M-Moon??? What's wrong!" she said, worried. She looked around to see what had startled him...

Pain's heart beat faster with fear. She plopped beside him, unsure of what to do.

"Moon?!" she yelled at him. She nuzzled and licked his cheek, hoping he was "awake" and not in a daydream...or nightmare.

She pressed herself gently against him, nuzzling his cheek.

"But...how? What happened?" Pain asked. She was confused. What had he seen in his daydream or nightmare?

Pain looked down and then back up at him. "Come," she whispered.

Pain turned and slowly walked to where Val and Fleur were by the Crying Idol. She made sure that Moon was beside her.

Soon, Fleur's body and Val came into sight.

Fleur was breathing deeply and normally.

Pain carefully lied down beside Fleur and laid her head on Fleur's side. Fleur's fur wasn't like deer fur. It was fluffier and soft ♥ Pain worried when and if Fleur would wake up.

Pain huffed and stood up again. It was like a routine, she thought.

Pain followed closely behind Moon. She stopped a few feet away from Moon. "I know your scared or dislike wolves. But she is young and definitely not as strong as you. You cracked her skull and she never hit you. She bleeds and sleeps while you are awake and completely unscathed...You are so much stronger than her, Moon. You have no idea how much she fears you more than you fear her..."

"Yes, but she can be dead...," Pain said taking a few steps closer and bent her neck down and licked one of his cuts.

Then, Pain turned and walked back to Val and Fleur. She gathered come water and gently poured a bit on Fleur's head-wound.

Pain nuzzled her daughter lovingly and then watched over Fleur once more.

Pain waited a while for Fleur to wake up. Fleur's chest rose and fell, slowly. Pain nearly fell asleep, but suddenly Fleur's body stirred as the dolf began to wake. At first, Fleur lied down upright but then lied back down again as the pain in her head increased.

"You awake, Fleur?" Pain asked gently.

Fleur nodded, but kept her eyes closed and did not look at Pain. She then cleared her throat a bit to speak. "Uhmm..yeah...look...you should..um get back to that....mate who did this to me."

Pain looked distressed. "No, I have to-"

"No," Fleur interrupted. "Just go."

Pain hesitantly got to her feet and nudged for Val to stand as well. She turned to leave and then looked back at Fleur and said, "You...you understand, right?"

Fleur really didn't. She was hurt, emotionally and physically. But she also knew that she should be responsible for egging the stag on to fight. She was over-confident.

But still, Fleur just nodded and said, "Yeah....I understand."

Pain glumly turned and leaved, not fully convinced. But maybe she would come back later to Fleur just to check up on her.

Pain grabbed Val by the scruff and heaved her over her back and began walking to Moon.

Fleur heard the soft, steps of the doe's hooves as she left her, alone beside the crying idol. Now, only the swish-swash of water accompanied her. A salty tear slid across her cheek and dampened into her thick fur. I'll never fit in here... she thought. With much effort, she wavered to her paws and padded behind the Crying Idol and plopped herself there.

"She told me to go back to you," Pain said a bit reluctantly. Pain looked away, looking into the distance of the forest. "Let's just go..."

Pain shook her head, saying, "I'm sure she'll be fine. I've already made my decision...Let's go somewhere else now." Pain trotted away to the pond to get a fresh drink of water. She nudged at a lily pad and then grabbed one and placed in upon her head.

Pain chuckled and did a little playful rear. "Well...I was just doing this for fun, but now that you mention it, I do feel warm...."

Pain gave a few coughs, and then shook her head. "No...No I'll be fine."

Moon Theif felt Pain's head and it did feel warm. "Here, let me take Val." He said, gently pushing Val on his back. "I'm not sure." He answered to Val's question. "Maybe we can show you the Playground." he said with a smile before quickly adding. "If your up to it Pain, I think the cool rocks will help you with your fever."

Pain nodded to Moon and said, "Yeah, we can go there. And I can carry Val." Pain picked up Valkyrie and swung her onto her back. Pain galloped around in a circle and laughed. "Alright, let's go to the boulders now."

Pain grinned and began trotting into the amber-colored forest. The birch trees stood tall above them.
