deer roleplay blog :D

edit: Okay started! Laughing out loud

(btw, other people can still join)

------------
Looking for a deer rp. Anyone interested? Just let me know.

My characters:

Amary -bio-
Melinoe -bio-
Oisín -bio-
Maera -bio-
note: Oisín is meant to have a bit of an accent (Irish, to be specific), but I'm not sure how well I can pull off writing it...
You may have to just pretend he's speaking with an accent...>.>

I can play all three of them, just preferably not interacting with each other.
Stuff can overlap, though.

SPECIAL REQUESTS:
I would especially like to have these deer, if I can, pleeze?:
Bastilion (for Amary), Scape and/or Zerg (for Oisín), Janjaweed (for Melinoe), the Priest (for anyone)
But I am open to anyone else.
Including anyone that my deer haven't already met, which would be nice, actually.

Also, anyone can join anytime, even if a roleplay has already started.

So...anyone interested? Anyone? Please? D:

[[Yea...I sort of saw that coming. |D But it's not like Bast would know she wouldn't get it.]]

At Amary's blank expression, Bastilion almost wished he could facepalm. In this form, he could facehoof, but he did not wish to attempt it, for it sounded rather painful. But it seemed he would have to better explain what he meant.
He sighed mentally before trying that again. "Perhaps I should reword myself... When I awoke here the first time as a fawn, I had memories of a lifetime before being in this forest. In this other life from before, I was mute since childhood."

She was still confused, not

She was still confused, not really getting it, simply because she had no concept of "outside the forest" and had never heard of any such thing as a previous life. But something struck her, somehow, about something he said. Her expression became somewhat distant. "Life before..." she murmured. But then she blinked, shaking her head as she returned to the present. "But...wait...there's nothing else... How could...?" She shook her head again, trying to gather her thoughts. "Is it...could that even be possible?" Then she looked back at Bastilion, as if suddenly remembering he was there. "Oh, I-I mean...not that I don't believe you. It's just... I always thought...the forest was all there is..." If she understood what he had said correctly, then...did that mean that what she thought she knew had been wrong all this time?

Bastilion could only remain

Bastilion could only remain silent as Amary seemed to get caught up in her thoughts. It was not until she had regained focus on him and finished her train of thought that he spoke again. "Perhaps this forest really is all there is. Perhaps what I believe to be memories are no more than just elaborate dreams.." He shook his head. "I cannot say. But I do know that they seem much too detailed to merely be dreams." His voice had taken on a melancholy tone as memories were recalled. Memories of his cousin.

[[Bast is gonna depress himself. D= This is why he always stops himself from writing about the past when he starts to in his entries.]]

Abruptly, thoughts of the past were put to a halt, in order to break away from falling into a depression. Bastilion shook his head a bit as if to clear it, and also to ward off her concern, feeling it unneeded for what could not be helped. "Just regret from remembering events of these memories of mine. Not something that can have anything done about it, so nothing to be troubled over."

Bic: Darkweaver gave an unimpressed snort, and looked up toward the treetops. A sound like hooves lightly stepping on wood caught his attention, allowing him to forget about listening for others. He was by now aware that Bastilion was in forest, along with Amary. He'd probably head for their company first... at least after dealing with one of his... less than appreciated companions. An arid, monotone voice spoke out. "It must be a pain, to be so undecided. Desire companionship, yet prefer to stay alone..."

"Hnnn... Aves! Approach me like a normal deer for once!" he shouted, damaged voice cracking slightly from being raised beyond a hiss. In actuality, there was no-one there, but in the schitzophrenic stag's eyes the presance of another was undenyable. From his perspective, a secretary bird set' stag jumped out of the trees, landing a few feet away. "Any particular reason you're bothering me?" Dark rasped, lowering his head slightly so his single antler could aim for the hallucination.
"Not much beyond making a decision for you." he stated flatly, then leaping at Darkweaver and dissappearing at the milisecond of contact. From an outsider's perspective, he simply spaced out. Fur shifted to the secretary pelt, antlers changed, and feathers covered the back of his neck.

He turned, and began to run in the direction of Bastilion and Amary, leaping off every hill on the way.

ooc: |D I dunno... I felt like switching to Aves just to mess with the multiple personality thing. XD and it seems to fit Bast's point/thoughts from earlier.

"Well...alright...if you're sure..." She didn't seem entirely convinced, but then her ears perked up as she sensed Darkweaver approaching. She turned in the direction he was coming from. When he came into view, she noticed he was wearing a different set than usual... She remembered what Bastilion had just been saying about that. So, did that mean Darkweaver would be different now, or was he simply trying a new look? Oh well... Bast hadn't said anything about him becoming suddenly dangerous, so she figured there was no reason not to treat him any differently from anyone else. She gave her usual curtsy in greeting as the stag drew nearer, though once again the movement caused her to wince.

He could sense someone

He could sense someone approaching the two of them; see them a moment later. But it took a moment for their identity to register in Bastilion's mind. He recognized the white secretary bird set stag as being one of Darkweaver's alternate selves. He had met Daiki once before, and the pale stag proved to be uninterested in much. Not bad company if one wished to take a quiet walk as they had that day, but not pleasant for one of higher energy.
Remembering his manners, Bastilion offered up his half-bow. "Daiki," he greeted.

'I think you'd heard my name.' He grinned.
'So i ask for yours.'

Sun turned again to Ceu. She'd started to dance.
' There's another one, a doe, next to Scape'
She whispered, but she started to dance too.

So...pardon me if the response here seems a little odd for any reason. xDDD))

The Priest flicked his ears back in slight irritation, though otherwise his features were cool and collected. He stood, deciding that the deer currently seemed harmless. For the moment, anyway, though he did refer to that horrendous other deer as 'nice'. That was a warning sign if The Priest had ever heard one. He bowed curtly.

"Most call me by the title of The Priest," he stated, just as curtly. Nightmare, was it? As ostentatious name akin to his own title. No direct threat, he reminded himself. Best to be courteous.

Ceu blinked, but ended up simply sighing in response. Either all the deer here were seeing things, or she wasn't. She smiled as the other doe joined her in the dance, wondering if the others would as well.

Then something barreled into her side and she fell down, gasping, yet again. She struggled to her feet to look at what had barreled into her. A stag, bone faced and covered in open wounds, loomed above her. She yelped in sudden panic and fled into the woods, fleeing the monstrosity who looked after her, puzzled, then trotted after her.

To Ceu, it was chasing her. She fled further into the woods, never once looking back. Then she stopped, puzzled, suddenly unaware of the reason for her sudden flight. The memories of the day slowly faded until it was as if they had never been there in the first place.

The golden colored doe was alone again.

((...Enjoy. xD))

Oisín jumped, gasping loudly, as a stag suddenly charged over, running right into Ceu and knocking her over. The stag had a face of bone...a skull...the face of death... The fawn cowered at the sight, backing up against Scape, looking wide-eyed at the creature's horrible face. Ceu had run, and the creature followed after her. After it left, Oisín stopped cowering, but he remained pressed against the blue deer, still shaking a little. But Ceu...would she be okay?

Scape jumped a bit in

Scape jumped a bit in surprise at the skull-masked stag's appearance, suddenly running into Ceu and sending her fleeing, following in her wake. He blinked, taking a moment to process things since it had happened seemingly so fast. It was then he noticed Oisín cowering against him, and it dawned that he feared any deer who had part of the zombie set.

He softly nuzzled the fawn, speaking softly to reassure him. "Hey, it's alright. The skull was probably just a mask." Even if it wasn't a mask, it wouldn't bother Scape. He'd liked the zombie deer set since he was a fawn.

[[I threw in a little history fact. 8] First day I was in the Forest, fawn-Scape (who was not called by anything yet) met a zombie deer. I thought they were the BZD. |D So that made me like them right away. It also helped that they were a cool deer who started casting antlers and masks on my fawn, and we laughed at each one that was silly.]]

Oisín calmed down a bit, though he still felt a little uneasy. "A...m-mask? But...it's...it's still...scary..." Scape may have been right. Sheen had no reason to doubt what he said. So, maybe there wasn't really any reason to be afraid. But still...There was just something about the appearance of that skull... He couldn't help but feel frightened when he saw it.

Zerg jumped back a bit as

Zerg jumped back a bit as out of the blue, a random stag had barreled into Ceu. Tilting her head to one side, she pondered what could have set the stag off to provolk such a moment. Nothing coming to mind, she simply vouched to not stand in the spot Ceu had just been in, in case the stag was just one of the weirder souls who are protective of particular patches of earth, or something. She then looked back to the now frightend fawn as Scape tried to calm him.

Soon reaching the spot where Bastilion and Amary were previously speaking, Aves slowed his step to a more casual walk, finally stoping nearby and bowing respectfully to the both. "Hopefully, I am not interrupting anything?" he questioned casually, no emotion detectable in his perfect monotone.

The golden colored doe began

The golden colored doe began to walk slowly back towards the pond. After all, the pond was a nice place to stay on sunny days. Her eyes searched the now blank forest, wondering.

"Deer...Where are all the deer...?"

She grasped futilely at the flitting black shape that floated through her mind. Something...something...There was something downright odd about the lack of deer. Ceu couldn't place a hoof on it, exactly, but the lack of deer didn't feel...right, somehow. She sighed and shook her head, trotting into the shallows of the pond that had appeared before her. Empty, as usual. But this...this felt odd too. She walked into the deeper water, searching. The grey koi emerged, looking at her with a strange sort of understanding. She smiled.

"Well...At least there are some other creatures in this forest..." She murmured, stirring the water with a hoof.

The koi stayed by her for awhile, then darted off. The golden doe settled in the water to watch, still pondering quietly, and began to murmur a melody to herself.

((Hopefully it isn't too soon after her flight. xD))

Amary blinked at Bastilion,

Amary blinked at Bastilion, wondering why he had called Darkweaver by a different name. Even though he looked different, it was still Darkweaver, wasn't it? Then she tilted her head at the white stag. There was something odd about his voice... "Uh, no, we were just talking."

Oisín was starting to calm down a bit when he noticed the gold doe was coming back. But she didn't bow or acknowledge the others in any other way, and seemed to act as if nothing had happened. He took a step in her direction. "M-madam C-ceu?" He moved a bit closer, tilting his head in confusion. "A-are you okay?"
((As you've probably noticed, I've given up completely on his accent. ^^; I realized he shouldn't even really have a modern Irish accent...maybe Gaelic, but I have no idea what that would sound like.))

Scape blinked in surprise at

Scape blinked in surprise at seeing the golden doe - Ceu - suddenly return not long after being frightened off. Like Oisín, he took note of her not acknowledging any of them gathered there. He tilted his head, wondering what was going on. This was almost like before.
He glanced at the black and white doe next to him, shrugging, then watched as the fawn tried to get Ceu's attention.

---

Just as last time, the lack of emotion to Aves' monotone voice was a bit startling. He was not a rude fellow, though. He just seemed to carry an air of feeling boredom almost.
Bastilion could hear confusion in Amary's voice, and for that he did not blame her. She had not met Darkweaver's other...personalities. It was a good thing the other selves were not dangerous. Or at least, they had not proved to be during the few times the brown stag had met them.
He wondered what triggered this change from his dark companion to the unemotional white deer that stood before them. The last time it had occurred, there had been a notable lack of activity to the forest. If that was the case in this instance, perhaps he should consider that a good thing.

[[Bastilion can continue to ramble about nothing, so I ended up doing that. |D I really have no clue what to have him do.]]

Ceu gasped in shock as a deer appeared approximately two inches from her own body, brushing her fur lightly. She splashed backwards, glad she hadn't tripped this time, then calmed herself. It was only a doe, a harmless doe at that. She flicked an ear towards where the fawn was addressing her, but other than that, was oblivious to his presence. She stepped cautiously towards this "new" doe.

"...How...do you know my name? And...what stag...? You're...you're the first deer I've..." She trailed off, not finishing that sentence. She blinked, staring at the doe, almost as if she was trying to grasp something. Then the look of concentration eased from her face and she sighed. Nothing.

"Sorry about my impoliteness. I'm...Ceu...as you seem to know. What do you go by?" She questioned, trying to bring a flicker of a smile to her face.

"Indeed," The Priest stated calmly, trying to keep the irritation out of his voice. The stag was not threatening, but the darkness really was making him sick. Too close, perhaps. He stepped back a few inches, trying not to let it be seen what was happening. Better, but still not great. He sighed.

"As to why I am called by such a title, the story is quite long. Suffice to say that I simply do not wish to be called by the name which I was given long ago and wish to show my devotion to the Gods," he explained, keeping the courteous tone in his speech.

(Oh, she'll be around sometime. x3 Ignoring every other deer, of course. Glad you like her! xP
@Amary: I'm sorry. Sad *attempts something* Yes, I'm fudging where Oisin is.))

Ceu watched the doe stepped forward and subconsciously stepped backwards, lightly bumping a small fawn behind her. A sharp intake of breath came from the doe ans she stepped forward again.

"O-Oh...Sorry," She curtsied to the little fawn, attempting to keep the shock from her eyes. She looked truly sorry. But then...there was that...that thing again. She didn't even reach for it as it disappeared. She turned back to the irritated doe and lowered her ears. The doe was probably irritated at her. What had she done?

"I...don't be...irritated with me...I'm sorry. Maybe you're just mistaking me for someone else...." She whispered the last part of the sentence, lowering her head. Somewhere, something was telling her that that last assumption was incorrect.

The Priest sighed. "Of course, it would be quite beautiful if everydeer worshiped the Gods. However, I am aware that many...do not." He looked pointedly glanced at the other deer as he professed his disbelief. He sighed, not really sure he had not expected this. He glanced quietly at where Darkweaver had disappeared, then glanced back at the strange deer.

Great, another one to deal with.

((Oh, sorry, I forgot to

((Oh, sorry, I forgot to check this! x.x ))

Oisín stumbled back a bit, nearly losing his balance when the doe bumped into him. "I-I'm fine, b-but..." He blinked up at her. This deer was very confusing. "M-madam Ceu? A-are you okay? We just met, d-don't you remember?"

Well, perhaps this stag called Nightmare had some sense at least... As for the one fancying himself a priest, she couldn't be so sure. He did seem different from the others in some ways, but to devote himself to such a thing...

"Don't call me that," she muttered with distaste. Why some deer insisted on using such formal titles when referring to others was beyond her. Not only were they pointless, they sounded...ridiculous.
"I don't 'believe in' anything. Yes, there are forces beyond what can be seen, but gods?" She gave her head a shake. "Well, I don't particularly care what others may believe in. Although," she gave the Priest a sidelong glance, "devoting one's entire life to a fairytale is still pretty foolish..." She knew, of course, that her remark was likely to offend the Priest, but that was none of her concern.

Simply because you have not seen them...does not make them a myth," he stated, eying her with as much composure as he could.

She had no right, of course. With what he had seen, had experienced, The Gods were fact. Without the facts, she was speaking like a little fawn.

Zergarikiaka's picture

Zerg tilted her head

Zerg tilted her head sideways, watching Ceu return so swiftly after being chased off... only to not seem to see the rest of the deer gathered. She glanced back at Scape, wondering if he had any idea about this strage doe. Not one to withould her curiousity, she steped toward Ceu... or rather, skipped toward her and into the shallows of the lake. A dragonfly landed on her right ear, peeking over the tip at Ceu, and apparently hitching a ride to the koi.

She outstretched a forelimb once close enough to touch Ceu, and lightly tapped her side, tilting her head sideways again. "Hey, y'ok?" she asked quickly.

Aves noticed the confusion in Amary's voice, but not only in voice, but in body language. He bowed his head slightly, once again speaking in his complete monotone. "My appologies. I don't think I've ever directly introduced myself to you. I am Aves." He stated. In a way, dispite his unemotional countanance, he seemed to carry an air of intellegence... perhaps even observational genious. He understood others, and the happenings of the forest with cold logic... something most could not do with the obscurity that comes with emotional interferance.

(lol now I can ramble)

Melinoe sighed and gave her

Melinoe sighed and gave her head a slow shake. "Do you really think me so simple? It seems you didn't hear what I just said about forces beyond what can be seen or perceived by any ordinary mortal. No, I don't say there are no gods simply because I have never seen any. After all, I cannot actually see the spirits that reside in this place, but I can sense them and communicate with them, though not by traditional means. But just as something doesn't have to be seen to be real, the opposite can also be true. What you see and what is really there may not be one and the same." She gave another sigh. "I could go on, but there is no reason for me to try to dissuade you from your beliefs. As I said, I don't care what you believe in. But, real or not, I still stand by what I said about devoting one's entire life in the service of...well, just in service, period... But, then, who am I to tell you how you should live your life? After all, in the end, you're fate will be just the same as everyone else's." She turned her head toward some of the nearer gravestones to emphasize what she meant.

Amary was still quite confused, perhaps even more so, after the stag she knew as Darkweaver introduced himself by a different name, speaking as if they had never met. Could it be that she was mistaken? It would not be the first time she had mistaken one deer for another. Even with what Bastilion had said about Darkweaver changing somehow, and what she had already experienced with Ravyn, the idea of one deer becoming a different deer was still difficult to comprehend, and still hard to believe entirely. That she might have simply been mistaken about this stag's identity was easier to accept.

"I-I'm sorry, I guess I was mistaking you for someone that I know. Sorry, I don't mean to be rude." She gave a curtsy, both in greeting and in apology, though her confusion still wasn't completely gone. "I'm Amary."

"I cannot deny The Gods with what they have done for...me. You may believe that service is useless. However, my service gives my life purpose. Do you have a purpose within this life, Melinoe?" He glanced at her calmly.
"And it most likely shall. I shall be glad to rejoin my brothers when the Twin Gods no longer require service of me." He looked at her with his gray eyes, studying her for a moment, then looked away, into the distance.
How long had it been...?

She sniffed. "Life has no

She sniffed. "Life has no purpose. All are equal in death, what one does in life makes no difference. The only purpose is death." She, too, looked off in the distance, though her thoughts went in a different direction, her gaze seeming far off. There seemed to be a hint of sadness of some kind, though barely perceptible, behind those eyes--the sort of sadness that was always there, but usually hidden deep within.

The Priest looked over at

The Priest looked over at her. "Perhaps it has meaning if one assigns meaning to it, as I have done," he said quietly, watching the other deer out of the corner of his eye. He glanced at the graves subconsciously, thinking. Their lives were worth something.

They only died meaninglessly. No sense in their deaths whatsoever. It had just happen-

((Would anyone want to try having their deer interact with Maera? She's a new deer, but not a new character. I just posted a bio here. I don't know how well she'll work in-forest, but I thought I'd try.
Oh, and she's not a very pleasant character, btw, just so you know. ^^; Even less pleasant than Melinoe.))

'Ceu' The small doe shoke the head. The others were still attentive, but she ignored them.
'No, it-it's all right.' 'When she meet me again, she won't remind me.'[i/] She tryed a smile.
[i]'She would never remind'

'Well, i thought another deer chased you, so i just want to ask you if you're okay'

The doe took a step backwalls.

He turned away. Gods.Myth.Souls...Death He shoke his head shortly.
'The death is the end. it will ever be.'
His heart stopped for some seconds. Time to dissappear. Or it will end in a fight.
The big stag snorted and began to walked out of the ruin into the forest.

((@ Paz: Really, if you see

((@ Paz: Really, if you see any of my deer in forest, I don't mind. Feel free to have her interact with any of them and I'll keep an eye out for her)).

Ceu jumped away from the hoof suddenly in her side, tapping lightly. She looked frightened for a moment before smiling in a rather strained way. "I'm...fine. Fine. Really, everyone... Thanks." She looks off to the side, catching her reflection in the water. Strained and worried. She attempts a vague smile and begins to speak again.
"If you say so, Miss..." She says, not remembering the deer chasing her, of course. She turns to the fawn, wondering how everyone seemed to know her name. "I'm...afraid we...I think...What is your name? Remind me, little one." She smiles tiredly at the little fawn, playing along with his game. It was probably just a little fawn-prank, making her think that he was some kind of psychic.

The Priest looked up watched the figure retreat into the distance, wondering why he had decided to leave. The red stag blinked in confusion, then looked back to Melinoe.

He tilted his head with a raised brow. This was certainly an odd deer. Couldn't she remember anything? Well, maybe just forgetting his name wasn't so odd, but the way she acted was still weird.
"It's Oisín, Madam."

Melinoe arched a brow at the stag as he began to walk away, than shook her head. "Hrmph... Strange deer..." With the distraction, she had lost track of the conversation, and now she was just growing bored. She sighed and leaned against a pillar, closing her eyes and just listening to the sounds of the forest.
((yeah don't know what else to do now X3 ))

((Okay, gonna try throwing in Maera))

A light-colored doe with dark markings was wandering through the forest, gazing in every direction with coal black eyes. She was thoroughly confused, though any casual observer would not be able to tell, as her face remained blank, hiding all emotion. She was also rather irritated. She did not like this one bit.

Maera had no idea how she got to this strange place. Or how she had become a...deer? Well...these creatures at least seemed to resemble deer more than any other animal. So it was easier to just think of them as deer, as strange as they were.

She could scent some of those deer not too far from where she was. She had no interest in approaching them.
Although... Maera had always liked animals, even if she never admitted it. Maybe the deer weren't so bad. But, no, she still didn't feel like being particularly social.

Maera spotted a huge tree ahead of her. Ah, yes, she had seen this tree. It was the one where she had heard that strange humming noise which seemed to emanate from the tree itself. Very strange. But, it seemed like a good place to be alone. She didn't really mind the humming. So, Maera began to head for the tree at a steady pace.

((BTW, I'm tweaking her design a bit. She's going to have claws /talons on her back feet instead of hooves, but with two toes. You'll see what I mean when I finish the reference. I just thought I'd mention that, that her rear legs/feet are unusual, for anyone that might matter to.))

((if the Priest wasn't already occupied I thought it might be interesting for him to meet her. I don't know who else. Other than she could use someone to fight/spar with her. Or, if anyone has a fawn character, that could be good.

On the other hand, nothing is happening with the Priest and Melinoe right now. Mel can just rest maybe, unless someone else wants to do something with her...or I could try something else, like maybe an extension of the last time she was in-forest or something))
