I'm curious, do you have a 'voice actor' for your character(s)? Is there someone who you think of as having 'their voice'? I'd love to know what your characters sound like!
I may pick someone else for Quad's, but I always said he would sound like Mark Hamill. I'd need help with my other characters, namely Zephyr, Iugulare, and Nekumbra, and would be really glad for any suggestions toward them.

Ever since CelticMystress pointed out Kale in 'Sinbad Legend of the Seven Seas', I can't get Dennis Haysbert out of my head. Here's a link to the start of the movie. Kale appears at 2:19.
Sinker I've just always thought of as being voiced by Tim Curry because...well Tim Curry just does the best villain voice ever. If you don't know who Tim Curry is he's been in loads of movies but is most well know for 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' (I should mention don't Google that if drag offends you! ;D)

So at the moment Kody has the voice of Dexter from Home and Away. I'm restricted really since I want him to have an Australian accent. Before that he had the voice of Zeke from Neighbours.

Ryff: I love Shinedown 8D...I'm so unsure of picking vocal-voices for my characters unless the character actually sings, since people sound so different talking vs singing. I really like the bands you've picked from though, I'll have to give SloT a listen since I don't think I've heard them before.
Illrose; Gemma Ward. When I heard her singing in the last PotC movie it just hit me that Illrose definitely had to sound like that.

I've actually, on many ocassions considered David Tennant, when he's in his native accent... However, I think Virgil has a bit more rust to his voice. x_x Pain in the bum!
Mariposa's voice is this. But it could also be Emma Watson's voice too because it's just so cute and lovely and also very fitting for Mariposa lD
Marie Antoinette sounds like Kirsten Dunst but only because she played Marie Antoinette in the movie Marie Antoinette xDD

I only settled on a type of voice recently after mulling it over for a while. Deep bass; an equal balance of gentility and authoritative power associated with a voice of moral substance and leadership, like that of James Earl Jones.
I find that it's better than saying "the voice of Mufasa" haha. Because honestly, I don't want Dag to have the voice of another character, simply that particular tone/type of voice.
Gillian Anderson for Fay! -- It was specifically Moro from Princess Mononoke, but that didn't work out after Fay got rid of her demon. xD -- Always saw Fay with a British accent anywho. :3

Eventide: Mamoru Miyano. I was hesitant to keep it, now my OC is a bit older, sometimes it sounds a little too young but it's difficult to find a good extract, x tiny 2sec have the perfect tone though.

I chose Brandon Keener for Lume. Particularly when he voiced Garrus Vakarian in the Mass Effect games, with the distinctive flanging effect in the voice, etc. I picked this actor just because I like his voice, lol.
Mumjaap's voice actor is Alan Tudyk, who voiced Sonny in i, Robot. Don't know why I chose this guy either. I just thought it seemed to fit.
It's so interesting to hear character's voices or description of them. I haven't found any good voice for neither Ephiré nor Neath, since they have very weird voices both of them.
My description for Eph's is "stone scraping against stone, screeching black iron, great cities crumbling by the hands of earthquakes and behind it all the echo from the great void, the cold and silent universe of black stars" which is rather grandiloquent really, but good for giving people some kind of idea about his voice. It's a terrible and very, very unpleasant voice. I haven't found anyone who talks like that yet u_u
Neath has so many weird words and sounds, it's hard to find anything like it. I think it's deep, slippery, a little bit hoarse, and kind of old... hm.

I finally did settle on a Ethan Hawke type of voice for Darcy though ^^' Kind of that low youthful sound with a bit of a rough edge. He has many layers to his voice too, his tone rising and falling as he expresses different emotion - but the base sound is still the same.
Eiros... I imagine sounds a bit like Sai from Naruto XD -booted- A little higher and a little breathier but basically the same soft, feminine quality :3

Idris - Is based off the TARDIS from Doctor Who so the only voice that could be hers is that of Suranne Jones who played Idris/TARDIS in the episode of Doctor Who called The Doctor's Wife. - X|X|X
For The Grey I choose the (clean vocals, not the growling) singer John Haughm from a doom-metal band called Agalloch, their music, lyrics and whole imagery inspired me to create The Grey.
I'm not entirely sure who or what I'd pick for Seed... Something with a mellow sound, not particularly regal but instead kind of gentle. Any suggestions?
