Recent ideas of mine. May or may not be put into action. Feedback and comments appreciated, of course.


Dear Doctor

[ ignore the bad artwork, focus on the concept ]

Concrete Aspects

1. facial features and antlers/horns.
2. hooks.
4. optional hairstyle.

- Elaborate Plague Doctor Mask usually worn around his neck, rather than on his face
- Medical Symbol marked onto his left shoulder, black.
- Wooden Hooks attatched to his antlers; crafted himself.

Undecided Aspects

1. facial hair.
2. glasses.
3. facial hair + glasses.

Pouch hanging from a hook on his antlers; likely used to keep his glasses in from the human world.

Information

Pictogram : syringe-like

Name : Still researching.
Gender : Male.
Age : Mid-thirties.

- Has hands instead of hooves on his front legs, hence his ability to a) attatch hooks to his antlers, b) not lose his syringes, c) inject himself/others with them and d) refill them.

- Background in psychology, and likely has some psychological problems of his own.

- Strangely for someone that was once a doctor, he's a selfish creature; refuses to help others unless he recieves something in return for it.

For Saxophone you can make the trumpet antlers look like saxophones. And she could play music through them- lol nah. Just a random thought that popped into my head <3

I'm loving these guys. Definitely tracking to see what epic characters you come up with later <3

EDIT: I probably need to do something like this. I have a ton of character designs and whatnot D|

Be warned my friend; making a character that embodies a stereotype can equal to the equivalent of walking on hollow egg shells. I tried it once... really failed too ;n; Not saying that it's impossible, cause it's not. I've seen people pull it off beautifully lolhetalialol but it can get obscenely difficult. Sometimes it's just easier to debunk a stereotype entirely through the character's personality, and as a result that could make them more likeable. I'd also recommend doing some research. Lotsa research. I love the idea though~

I'll give some input if I can

I'll give some input if I can think of anything, so far I have a very hard time judging. I'm curious to see you elaborate on his personality. It seems it is mostly influenced by the incident with Mara. I'd like to know what he was like before that, and in which ways the murder changed him.
Judging by his strong reaction towards the Twin Gods, he must've been quite devoted to them before that? What importance does/did religion have for him?

Goodness, I don't know what

Goodness, I don't know what to say...

He's seem really cool. I love the idea of him having to pray to the Gods everyday to keep living, yet he hates it. It's like you have to go to school because you know you need to learn, but you hate it.

Perhaps the Gods had a reason to let him die and become what he is now? Maybe there's a bigger story involved?

[edit:] :>. Dude. A velociraptor. That's epic.

I want to design one for myself now :U

Hm. If I did make a raptor character, the two could either be arch enemies or best buddies. If they were arch enemies... Mine could have been brought to the Forest by the Twin Gods to counter Velocity's experiment...

Yours could probably be another of Velocity's experiments, since the Gods most likely wouldn't unleash such a creature on the Forest, I feel. BD

I think the syringes are a bit of an overkill. I like the version with the hooks. Visually, I like the glasses and the facial hair too.
With such an ambitious concept, be careful with the cliches, just as a reminder.

The cliche thing's a worry

The cliche thing's a worry for me, yeah. I do like the syringes because I've never seen them on another character, but there's a) the overkill and b) I don't think they're really necessary, and they'd probably get in the way, physically.

I'd know a guy who could certainly use a psychologist.. XD

Personally I am fond of the bald look with the hooks. Or without. But I am just fond of bald. Glasses aren't really my thing in a forest where everyone could trample on them honestly, but I can see how it could be interesting. And sicne he does have hands. He could have one of those cheesy necklaces that hold on to the glasses so when he puts them off, they dangle from his neck?

I kind of wonder what his nails look like. That was actually an "issue" with my previous char-with-hands design. Nailcare shows a lot about a person!
