For diluted as Paint compared to angel
Like iris to the colour of the Twi'

Gentle as the fragile Painted Lady
Pleading not to break against the wind
A form lays down beside her like the sunlight
To warm her fur in wishes long forgotten
Though aching from the show' of ashen rain
They lay beside the emptiness they have
Beside the children, lie the same in angels
For none could ghost the nexus that they had

Now, this is in no way intended to be drama. Please don't start it. This is not intended to be an "I'm leaving the Forest" post. I don't see myself permanently leaving the Forest in the foreseeable future.

I'm starting to wonder whether or not I should even bother posting my art anywhere but my subVariance page. I am hesitant to post anything here or at the TEF community or deviantART at all anymore because it feels like I'm just wasting page space and my own energy. It's taking up time that I could be using for something else, and it's probably wasting other people's time. The more I see the wonderful art here, the more I think that I should step aside and let more serious and talented artists take the page space.

I'm not going into art as a career, but human factors and ergonomics; however, art is what I love, and it's come to a point that I feel that I have to have a number of people who say, "Ooh, that's very good," or "Well, you could have shaded this area a bit more; work on your coloring--here are some nifty tutorials for that" to feel good about my hobby, and I'm wondering whether or not I have lost sight of what I should be doing with my hobby. I know I'm just a hobbyist, and my art skills are generally crappy--should I be feeling this way at all? Should I even care? I'm going crazy and getting frustrated. I know many people here are probably offended that I even consider art something that someone can even consider something so seemingly insignificant as a "hobby."

Now, I'm not leaving The Endless Forest or any crap like that. Perhaps I have lost sight of the intention of the community site in the last few months. Maybe it's not about the comments or the number of views a person gets, but the spirit of sharing what he does with his energy.

Flash.

A long tail of energy beamed through the trees. It ran faster than anything ever seen, zig-zagging through every pine, maple, and oak. Once it passed, plants and leaves seemed to follow, but were pulled back by their roots. A great wind seemed to follow this tail.

The tail of energy sped through the First Forest and straight into the Birch Forest, it seemed to be speeding up. The final sprint, almost. A doe drew her head upwards from her grazing, and examined the small light becomming bigger and bigger. She huffed irritabley. One day, she thought, I'll beat that stag, and show him who's who.

The flash came to a screeching halt, starting to slow down about twenty feet away. A flurry of dust and a few uprooted grass blades sprang up behind it. In a cloud of dust, a stag appeared, a huge smile on his face.

The doe coughed, "Can't you take it easy for once, Clock?"

Clock closed his eyes cheerily, "'Fraid not, miss Fenqua... Oop, I suppose it's Mrs. Fenqua?"

"Just Fenqua, thank you." She retorted, her round ebony mask shining in the dim sunlight.

"Right then. Well, Fenqua, I think this is the fastest I've ever gone without bumping into something!" He beamed with pride, almost too much pride.

Fenqua put one hoof down hard, "You know, Clock, you haven't yet proven that you're the fastest deer around. We still have a race."

He nodded, "I'm aware. Although, I have proven many times that I am, in fact, the fastest stag around. But you're right, the title of 'fastest deer' still remains up for grabs. Although I gotta say..." He looked behind him, noticing a small trail from where he ran. "... I think I might just take it."

I...like taking pictures. c: But I don't have my own camera. I've got a bit of money - which was being saved for something else but lol - and I've been looking around for something that I might like. Can you tell me about any good cameras that I might be interested in?

Outlines:
1. Reasonable cost
2. Preferrably point-and-shoot
3. Good in all types of lighting
4. High-quality photos that can be screwed around with on Photoshop XD

So far I've been thinking that the best choice is the camera my dad uses for work, even though I'd have to buy my own because his is government property. XD But it looks nice. Soooo, suggestions? c:
