Hey guys, what do you think about necklaces that
half of the proceeds go to Tale of Tales and the other half go to a wildlife charity organization?
I'd need some help deciding on a few things about this:
1: Which charity should benefit? I've decided on the
World Wildlife Fund, who look for solutions to problems in habitats and work to preserve them. They also are advocates in conserving the animals on the endangered species list. (One idea I have with them is what they call a
symbolic species adoption). Maybe next time, if I do another batch of these, I could donate to the
Defenders of Wildlife.
2: How much? $10 - $5 towards ToT and $5 to the charity per necklace. My thoughts were that if we could raise $25 from the necklace sales, I would add $25 of my own money to make it a $50 donation toward the charity. What do you think? I also haven't decided on shipping yet, either, but it would be very low.
3: Should there be a special name for this project? What do you think about the name "Twin Leaves Conservation Fund"?
Here's what the necklaces look like:
And here's a closeup of one:
They are made of the following:
A pewter leaf pendant
Green pony beads
Glass spacer beads
And the lace is made from black woven hemp that is surprisingly soft!
Thanks for looking, and please comment, even if you just want to say if it's a good idea or a bad one! I really want to help both this community and wildlife, and I thought this would be a great (and fun) idea!
