STOP--if you want to read this crap, you have to read the first part which is considerably less crappy.
You can tell by the title that it isn't a very happy story. Ayup.
Music is optional, but if you do listen, I found that if you're somewhere around 3:14 in the song when John is holding her the second time, it makes me seem like a half-way decent writer :v
If you happen to get the bright idea to dye your hair.
but first have to bleach it.
And you have never or atleast have not done it in a few years.
Then let your hair have a nice little rest period before you apply colour.
Or your scalp will get irritated, bleed, and give you sores.
I have very nice short auburn blond hair wrapping around my face that is now streaked with blood because I absent-mindedly scratched my head.
lesson of the day:
Wait a day after bleaching your hair before you apply colour.
Serves me right for forgetting after 2-4 years of not messing with my hair. /sweatdrop
When I woke up that morning I new something was different. For one the bush Serenity and I slept under was cramped, the branches and thorns were sticking in to me and Serenity was taking up nearly all the room. Damn bush. I thought, obviously not thinking clearly. How could a bush of grown so much in one night, enough to smother two fawns? I pulled myself out from under the bush and shook off any leaves or twigs. My head felt heavy and I felt taller. Thinking I'd just caught a cold I went to inspect my fur for any scratches from the twigs. Then it hit me.
I'd grown into an adult deer!
My fur was a brilliant orange, like the burning flame deep in the sun, and on several spaces there were brown-black stripes. My head felt heavier because of the fan antlers portruding from my head, they covered the space by me. An excellent sheild and weapon, I thought. I trotted around the small clearing where Serenity and I slept, testing my new strength and headbutting trees with my antlers.
Had Serenity grown to? I cut the bush away from her with my new antlers to check. Her pelt was a beautiful snowy white with a pearly-blue tinge. It had pink specks faintly patterned onto it and her hooves had turned that same pinkish colour. Her face was a deer's face, like mine, and instead of antlers she had feathers growing from her neck and skull. They were not Peacock feathers, or Magpie feathers. They were Snowy owl feathers, white with black dashes sprinked across them.
She woke up and I saw that her eyes had become even more beautiful. Her eyes were normally and eggshell blue but now they had been flecked with silver streaks.
" S-Sparx..? " She asked, wondering who the strange stag infront of her was.
" Yes, Serenity. It's me. " I assured her. Our voices were different, they sounded more..like an adults instead of an over-excited fawn's.
" Wow, Sparx. You grew up, Congratulations. " She smiled at me.
" Thanks, and you did too. Look.
I had windows vista, and today I installed windows 7. The forest won't run higher then 6 fps when I'm not even connected! With vista I got at least 10 when I was connected, and 20 when I was not connected...
Can I fix this? Or is there something to let it work a bit faster..
I was so happy with windows 7, but this is a real bummer.. ):
One thing that's great from having my own little strip of forest from my backyard, I naturally have deer wander around. Well, I noticed from experience that deer stomp the ground with one of their front hooves when feeling uneasy/threatened, or issuing a warning to the other animal to "get lost". I think this would be an interesting thing to add to the forest actions. But please note, what I am referring to is different from pawing the ground, the stomp the deer use has no scraping motion on the ground. Also, it is already widely understood as a motion meaning "come here" or similar uses, which obviously is different from "go away". So using paw ground to show this emotion would likely cause confusion.
I have also thought of having a bucking/kicking action added, simply because I think it would comply well with the rearing action.
Of course I don't seriously expect these to be made forest actions, for they come across as violent or intimidating. This could cause problems in terms of keeping the forest in its sense of tranquility, which I understand, so no need to really point it out to me. I just found it worth a shot since I have seen it occur several times before with living deer. Also, as the forest's community expands and already, is very creative in their Role Play, I think these actions might very well come in handy.
I also know that Michael and Auriea are under pressure enough already, between budget, servers, and so forth. So I'm not trying to push this idea too hard. I just think its worth wondering about =)
Also, I would like to encourage ideas from people who have deer in their area, because I think observing them and picking up things from their behavior will let the community be able to bring great new things to the forest. <3333
