To anyone using an older version of Internt Explorer (or anyone, really) is coding a biography with CSS possible in IE? I ask because I can't change my text size to a smaller size, it ends up bigger. And I'm sure that IE is not the best browser to view CSS in. I figure if it's a battle with font size and viewing others' bios, I don't want to battle CSS all together.

Darkness creeps in, filling my soul with an inky, choking substance. I can't get out. I can't escape. Time is passing by, leaving me well behind. The warmth that once flooded my body has now ebbed away. A numbness is now setting in.
The light of the sun no longer has care for me... is this what it's like to die?

This feeling, like wire wrapping around my heart, slowly lacerating me, it hurts. Lately it feels like I'm sinking. Sinking to the bottom of the sea. I reach towards the sun kissed surface, but it's no use, the darkness is ever quickly lapping around me. I close my eyes.... is this really what it's like?

I've never experienced anything like this before. It's like looking at your world from within a glass box, but it's so silent, and no matter how loud you yell, or how hard you pound upon the glass, you cannot be seen, cannot be heard. It's impossible to escape.

So lonely.
It feels... scary.

Is this what it's like to die? I think so. I don't like this feeling... being alone... and yet I am... fading, slowly disappearing... completely... unnoticed... this... is what it feels like... to die....

'An experiment...'

'I'm so sorry...'

'Vincent...' the voice echoed. 'Vincent...'
Repeating.
Fading.
Dark...

Silence...
Nothing except a single lonely heart-beat, and tormenting memories.
Everything had vanished. There was nothing left anymore.

Body was cold. Hard to imagine it had ever been warm, now. It didn't matter any longer. There was no reason to care anymore. A depressing inky blackness all around. Consciousness faded as more hated memories swirled around him, silent, yet his ears could still hear them, the words that had been spoken so long ago. Everything.

'Some bodyguard you are! Falling asleep on the job...
but that's okay. Hey... would you like to join me for a picnic?...'

'Lucrecia! It's your child. You can't let some guy experiment on it! Lucrecia!...'

Gunshots. Gasping as blood seeped from his body. Above him, a nasally, reedy voice in maniacal laughter. Footsteps. A sharp horrified gasp. 'oh no! Vincent!...' thick, burning green. Glass. White lab coats. 'An experiment.'

'I'm so sorry...'

Gone. Slowly, the familiar sound of a heart-beat faded, giving way to blessed sleep.

'Lucrecia...'

It was mid-day in Midgar, although being below-Plate made it rather hard to tell. The slums stank, streets filled with litter and muck, buildings run down and crumbling, the people didn't appear to be in any better condition either. Mostly, the slums went by the same shades, brown, which gave the already dark place an even darker completion. But once in a while, some raise of sunlight would find their way in despite the Plate; though welcome, it pouring in through the window straight into ones eyes, wasn't exactly pleasant.

Light blazed in his eyes, seeming to burn to the back of his skull. It had been a bad idea to open them. Turning his face away with a hiss and a groan, blinked owlishly up at the large black blur standing over him.
“Your up! Great! For a second I thought you were dead!

I've never had a place where my writing and poetry could grow and be appreciated until here.

I've never felt so welcome, supported, and accepted than here.

I don't know what it is about this place, whether it's just an escape from the chaos and violence of the real world, or whether it's a community of simply amazing people, or both...

But I love all of you so much. You are like the feathers on Quad's wings, without you he couldn't fly.
