When all participants of this wonderful event were in place, they had to wait
the Great Spirit, whose bones were stored in this Jesus grave.
Arcus turned to Stitches:
- Do you remember as I put on your head wreath of poppies when we met almost every day?
And I would like to ask you: Do not you afraid that something will change?
We only confirm that we are together quite often. We would probably still be together. Do you think the same?
Stitches looked into her eyes and replied, "Yes, how could I forget? I loved to see you hurrying up to me with them in your mouth and place those good smelling flowers on my head."
He thought a moment about the next question. "I don't think I am afraid that something will change. I have, in my past, rarely been loved by anyone or anything. If change is to happen for the best, I encourage it. And I do think the same, yes. In all aspects, you're very lovely. If anything bad were to change to you, I would try everything in my power to prevent or undo it."
Arcus with kindness in her eyes looked at him:
- You know, I do not fully a deer? You are not afraid that under the mask a lion face? I'll live longer than any other deer, but I have a snake's tail and lion face. I'm so used to be beside you. Don't forsake me, please.
Pausing thoughtfully after she said this, Stitches said, "What makes you think that you won't be loved for who you are just because you aren't a deer like me? Bending down, he took the side of her mask in his mouth and lifted up gently, raising the mask off. He then set it on the ground at her feet. Stitches looked into her face with a growing happiness in his heart. "How could I forsake that face? It's beautiful."
Arcus sighs and lowers the face down:
When fawns casts on me another mask, they start to fear me. They start to think that I predator or laugh that I so strange.
Suddenly there was a sharp noise.
The Great Spirit finally appeared. He looked like a huge form and looked like a strange biped creature with branchy black horns. He was wearing a black cassock with a hood. His face was covered in a black mask on which was painted white insidious smile and white eyes. This spirit also had long white hair.
Usually he was silent and he often wandered about the cemetery (ruins) or forest.
It was he who made this mask for Arcus. Usually he communicated with her mental images. So he taught her the basics of medicine. He knew why Arcus came here and he did not deny her in this. She seemed so thoughtless, but she had the ability to communicate with spirits and also was a descendant of chimera. He forgave her these weakness.
The Great Spirit took a mysterious book which looked too old. Once the book was opened a loud voice rang out over the forest. He uttered the some strange words similar to spells.
No one hear this besides Arcus, but forest became suggest something great. Birds were silent. Finally it was over and the spirit bowed. Arcus bowed in answer and yanked Stitches that he also bowed to the Great Spirit. Spirit instantly vanished.
- Are you feel something strange now? - Arcus quiet asked Stitches, inclining her head.
Trying to take into account of what just happened, Stitches slowly raised his head again, shifting his ears and eyes from left to right. "N..not exactly. What was that....a spirit? I could hear it, and smell the thing. But it only became visible to me when he was reading from that odd old book..."
Remembering what Arcus had said before that, he responded, "Why should you care what fawns think? They are young, and are afraid of what they don't know. Most of the locals are used to seeing only their own kind around here, deer. Don't worry about it. Not everyone will like you. But I do."
Arcus rubbed her cheek against his neck:
- This spirit so strange and quiet. I never heard his voice until that moment. But I think that we should not be afraid him.
I promise that I be with you all my life. I believe that you will not let me hurt. And I promise you the same thing.
Spirits blessed us now. We can go to have fun.
Glancing off to where the Great Spirit was a few moments ago, the young buck nodded his stitched-up head in agreement. "And I promise the same thing to you, Arcus. You deserve to paid back in protection from protecting me."
Stitches took one last look behind him at the tall, eerie grave with hesitant, yet wondrous gratitude for the mysterious blessing as he headed off to dance with the guests.
I am taking LOTS of screenshots and there will be at least some good ones in there worth keeping. I will definitely share them later on. Some are big enough to be desktop backgrounds even since I've had the game fullscreened for some of it.
