Anyone up for some rp?

Kaoori's picture
I'll be honest, I let these fade out usually, but a jump start in some random RP would be great. I need a muse booster; all my characters with profiles are listed at my Hub and there's also my deer directory.

I'll do my best to keep up with it, but I may be lazy at color codes and the like. |D

"Congratulations!", she

"Congratulations!", she exclaimed loudly when Kaoori told her that it was twins. She wondered what it was like to carry twins, but it seemed to be a bit more than she thought she could manage. "I know the feeling, Kaoori. My first is almost a year now..", she said with a sigh, oh how the time flew. It made her wish that her son had stayed younger longer, and that she had more children.

The simple question brought her back, and she smiled then nodded, walking closer to Kaoori to make sure she sat down alright before she herself would sit. "Need some help?"

"Ah, thank you Dina... that

"Ah, thank you Dina... that is, may I call you that?", she tilted her head, smiling again. "I'm alright. I'm used to doing this-- "

And the little shika settled with an ungraceful 'flop' onto the ground. Not too hard. She waited until the other small doe settled before she spoke again.

"Ah, you have a child? I didn't know. I hope they are healthy and well. I have three, not counting these two." She nodded to her large belly.

"My son Takeshi has a family of his own now, my daughter Kari is very independant and out and about with her closest friend, and.. Hoshiko.. she.. "she paused for a moment, then smiled again. "she watches us from the stars."

A small smile appeared on her

A small smile appeared on her pale human face when Kaoori said her nickname, and she nodded. Wincing when the doe declined help, she had to restrain herself from a gasp when she flopped over, knowing too well that she had scared her old, lost friend Iaurdagnire too many times when she did that herself. She settled in next to the doe, although her body was slightly off angle so they could chat face to face without having to strain their necks. "I do; his name is Lucamo.", she said with a small smile, picturing his already too mature face. "The father has..passed on; though his entity sometimes remains.", she muttered softly next, feeling the sudden urge to tell her new friend everything.

The mood shifted when Kaoori told her she had three, plus the two she was expecting. "Wow! Congratulations again to you; such a large, lovely sounding family.", she said warmly, though hiding a pang of jealousy as she too longed for a larger family. When Kaoori paused at her last daughter's name, Dinamo's breath caught in her throat. "I am so sorry Kaoori; but..it is always good to have one watching over you, waiting for you to come home..", she whispered, her throat constricting as her words made her slightly sad.

"no.. this is not Japan, I'm afraid.. you've traveled far. When did you get here? How did you get here?"

I don't know how I got here. I just remember one morning that my parents woke e up, and they were all scared about something. They told me I had to get up and they needed to take me somewhere important. So we were just running to this place. I tried to ask them what was wrong but they wouldn't tell me. Then we reached this weird place. It was a circle of Cherry Blossoms, and in the middle was some weird glowing thing. My parents said that I would get what was going on later, and then they said goodbye, pushed me into the weird thing, and then I saw a wolf and a fanged deer fighting with my parents... I wanted to see more, but then I suddenly was here...

Mitsuko looked around, studying the place.

What is this place, anyway?
I have a Master's degree in Wumbology.

( ;_; baw you flatter

( ;_; baw you flatter me!)

The Forest was warm, bright, and exactly as he remembered. After the turbulent visit from which he had just returned, the green stag was enjoying the cool clear mist of the crying idol. Water droplets dampened his crown of feathers, dripping down and skating between the domes of his scales. It was easy to doze, listening to the sounds of the deer roaming around him.

Kaoori had just awakened,

Kaoori had just awakened, being a late lazy sleeper as of late. She was headed toward the water for a cool drink, and maybe a bite to eat of the lush grass that grew around the pond. For some reason today, she was pulled to go toward the idol instead- and as she gazed at the cool waterfall coming down from the stone, she saw something green and familiar-looking. She peered her head into the waterfall, when suddenly water doused her nose and she snorted, losing her balance and landing into the water with a mighty squeak.

( :'D LOL) At the sound of

( :'D LOL)

At the sound of dainty hooves through the grass, Queze cracks an eye open. Blue, small, a snout peeking through the water and...suddenly his pleasant misting is a tidal wave of water. His face is soaked, beard plastered to his chin and cheeks. He blinks and shakes himself to his feet. Peering over the embankment he recognizes the little blue cannonball and laughs, deep and booming.
"Kaoori! Are you alright down there?" His tail flicks back and forth behind him, dusting the grass a sure sign of his excitement.

Kaoori dragged herself out of the water, looking waterlogged. She shook quickly, however, and her coat once again became fluffy. Her ears flattened and she looked sheepish, but when she finally realized it was her old friend, she nearly bowled him over in a tiny tacklehug.

"Queze! I never see you anymore! Are you alright?"

He laughs at the little doe's

He laughs at the little doe's exuberance, bending down he rubs his chin between her ears. His brow furrows slightly, a slight frown that makes him look years older. "I am sorry about that Kaoori. I had someone I had to deal with back home." Shifting he suddenly pins his ears back in surprise. Slowly, with no subtly at all he tilts his head and notices her rather matronly girth. "Though I...could have sworn you had already.." He trails off, realizing he's being obtuse and straightens, wishing he still had his mask to hide at least some of his awkwardness.

(I seem to recall she was preggers the last time he saw her too; he's wondering how much longer she plans to keep those in there lmao :'D)

(I totally have to update that. HOpefully tonight. ;___; )

Kaoori nuzzled the other fiercely one more time, then stepped back so she could face him. "So much has happened! Kari is grown now and is a beautiful young doe, Takeshi has his own son, and I have two more young fawns- twins! You need to meet Seifer and Reira--"

She broke off for a moment, wondering if the other had heard about Walter. She glanced at the pond quickly, wondering if she should tell him.

(I've got to grab a bite to eat but as soon as I get back, I'll continue Smiling )

(kk, no rush! C:) Hearing

(kk, no rush! C:)

Hearing about Kaoori's ever-growing family made Queze feel a brotherly joy, especially considering the memory of Hoshiko. "Takeshi a father...and you a grandmother!" His smile is earnest, only teasing a little. "I am very happy for you and your family and I look forward to meeting these newest editions." Knowing her for as long as he has, Queze can tell when something troubles her but knows she will tell him when ready. "How is Wesker?"
Kaoori's picture

Kaoori beamed at Queze's

Kaoori beamed at Queze's words. "You'll meet them, I'm sure of it. Wesker is fine, he's proud and a little shocked to be a grandfather too."

She paused again.

"Queze, you.. you don't know about Walter, do you.."

The smile fades from his

The smile fades from his face, because news of Walter is never good. "What has he done?" He's stern and there's an old steel back in his voice. His mind jumps to the twins, who are now a source of dread instead of joy.
Kaoori's picture

"Well.. Walter was killed

"Well.. Walter was killed again.." her ears pin back.
"I Just didn't want you to find out from a stranger. He should be reincarnated like he was before.. right?"

She hoped for only him. For her, she could care less if she saw the old man ever again.

It is a small part of him

It is a small part of him that feels relief at the news, the rest is sadness. Regret for not being here, the thought that had he been perhaps Walter could have been protected. "I do not know if he will come back, I don't understand his arrangement with...whatever being it is that returns him. While he had more experience with reincarnation, lifetimes of it in fact, Queze only hoped that whatever God was watching out for Walter's soul continued to do so. "Thank you for telling me this...but you don't have to pretend you want him back."
Kaoori's picture

"I know how much you care for

"I know how much you care for him, Queze, and I do my best not to judge. I was judged before too, for who I loved." She looked up at him. "I know, and I"m sure he knew, you would have been here if you could have."

The little shika folded her legs underneath her, inviting Queze to do the same. "Now.. maybe you could tell me some of the things you've been doing?"

He'd honestly never hoped to

He'd honestly never hoped to understand the reason she tolerated his relationship with Walter, after all the harm he'd caused her. Lowering himself down beside her, his tail curls into a crescent around her smaller frame. "I am grateful for your understand you are, by far the most forgiving woman I have ever met."

Truth be told he was grateful for the change of topic, it was rare that he discussed his home world with anyone of The Forest. I liked to keep it that way, but knowing his friend's curiosity, he made an exception. "How much do you know about my leaving, Kaoori?"
Kaoori's picture

Kaoori smiled softly, but it

Kaoori smiled softly, but it was sincere. "Sometimes I think my forgiving is my downfall." Another pause, and thought. "I don't know much about where you go.. I just know it's a strange place outside of here.. with the humans."

He nods, settling more

He nods, settling more comfortably into the grass. "You remember correctly. The Jungle I go to is where I was born, where my children were born. He dusts the ground with the feathers of his tail-tip absentmindedly. "There I am a...mh well I am not divine like you know the word. My abilities allow me to come here when I die in that world of mine, and to return again when I sleep here."
Kaoori's picture

At the mention of 'death',

At the mention of 'death', Kaoori's ears fell.
"You die..? You have to leave your family?"

"We all must die eventually,

"We all must die eventually, I just do it more than most." The stag seems, eerily unperturbed by this revelation. "I have lived many lives, gotten to make different choices. Forgiven those who wronged me before, or killed them before they could do so again..." He trails off here, his tail continuing it's distracted serpentine motion.
Kaoori's picture

"So when you sleep here,

"So when you sleep here, you'll wake in the other world again? But you lose your family... "

The little doe was thoroughly confused and felt horrible for her friend.

"Hm I guess, you could say

"Hm I guess, you could say that when I sleep here I gain my family. I am reborn as a babe in my world. I get to relive my life, good and bad, for however much time I am given." He hopes Kaoori understands that not everything about his situation is horrible, he had resigned himself to this existence long ago. "I have gotten to watch my children grow up many, many times."
Kaoori's picture

Kaoori grinned at that. "So

Kaoori grinned at that. "So you have many more children than I. I only wish.. I could meet yours. I bet they are as wonderful as you are. Still.. you must miss all of your children, for you are born with a new family.. right?"

(I like how you made that. That's a neat way to describe Queze's ins and outs. )

He chuckles at her. "Yes I

He chuckles at her. "Yes I have had five children. Though really I guess I should say I have had five children many times. There are many things that stay the same, lifetime after lifetime. My wife, when I life long enough to meet her, is always my Mienya." He smiles at the memory of her.

(Thank you! It's taken me a long time to feel out exactly how his world-shifting works. I'm finally happy with it.)
Kaoori's picture

Kaoori wanted to ask about

Kaoori wanted to ask about that, but hadn't thought it too proper; if he ever missed his mate, and if he had a new one each time. It strangely filled her with relief to hear that no matter the life, they always met each other again.

"I'm glad you and your mate always see each other every lifetime. I hope that's true of all worlds."

It is a reassuring thing, a

It is a reassuring thing, a divine affirmation that yes, he and her were perfect for each other. "One life, after our daughter had been killed...I tried to save her the pain by never meeting." He chuckles warmly. "Hah, she ended up throwing herself into my life anyway." Queze looks at her with a queer expression, as though facing a humorous personal debate. "I would say she would enjoy meeting you, both of you have the same values but...I don't know what she would think of a starry-blue little spirit. My daughter would want you as a pet." He teases.
Kaoori's picture

Kaoori listened, pure

Kaoori listened, pure sympathy showing in her face and eyes for a lost child. She'd been there- the pain still had not healed, to this day. But he knew about it- there was no reason to bring that up again either.

"A pet? Truly?" Kaoori had to laugh at this. She'd never thought of being anyone's pet. She wondered what his family was like, anyway. His memories seemed so happy and his mate seemed truly met for him.

"Do you think.. your wife could end up here someday, like you, when you die?"

Yes, he was quite certain

Yes, he was quite certain that if Kaoori ever found herself in his world she would end up bejeweled and fawned over. Chances are her unique appearance would save her from simply being eaten and...well he decided not to mention that.

"Hm. No I do not think that will ever happen. I don't think I would want her here, which will sound odd I know but this place is not her place." The thought of his lovely human wife, trapped as a deer. Well he remembered what that had done to him all those years ago. "Getting to see her again when I return is enough for me." After this he is silent for a long while.

Suddenly as if remembering something very important he locks eyes with Kaoori.
"There is someone in my world who is...almost like me, if anyone was able to follow me it would be him. He was very near that revelation himself in my last lifetime." His voice is very low now, dangerously quiet. "If you see him, you must send for Wesker and any others you can. They must kill him, if I am not here to do it myself." He had meant to entrust this to Walter, that had felt right but, given the circumstances he hoped this would be a suitable safeguard.
Kaoori's picture

(oo, will we ever see this

(oo, will we ever see this guy? xD)

Queze had an enemy in the other world? That she could not fathom. "He is just like you? If he's just like you how could I kill him? You're too kind.. what would he do here?"

(I dunno, I've been flirting

(I dunno, I've been flirting with the idea for a while. It would likely only be an On Site thing, not In Game.)

"He is like me in his abilities but not in character. Ocelot is as dangerous as I am, maybe more." Suddenly the best comparison reveals itself and he knows she will understand. "He is like Walter. He would not hesitate to kill anyone here, and he would do so simply to spite me." Queze was certain of it.
Kaoori's picture

(that actually sounds cool.

(that actually sounds cool. xD And I KNEW it was Ocelot! )

Kaoori's ears flattened to her head at the mention of the demon stag. Another one to roam the forest, just like him? She couldn't have it.

With a whisper, she uttered "I will find Wesker and even you, should I come across this Ocelot. HOw will I know it is him, however? What will he look like?"

He is sorry to have scared

He is sorry to have scared her but, it is good that she is afraid. Her fear will protect her. "His favorite form is a cat, a jaguar...hm. You might not know what that is. He is golden, with large claws. A predator. Like me he can also be a man, another predator and just as dangerous." He snorts in contempt. "Though I suspect, if he did make his way here he would make sure you knew him. He enjoys the dramatic."
Kaoori's picture

Kaoori had seen certain cats

Kaoori had seen certain cats before- even cat-like deer and creatures- but this was new. She listened to the description intently. She would do her best to make sure she would look out for him, and also look out for her family.

"I hope he stays away for your sake.. as well as ours.

"As do I." It was not likely

"As do I." It was not likely that Ocelot would gain access to The Forest, but if he did strike some dark deal with his own God it could happen. "I do not enjoy killing Ocelot." The way he said it gave the distinct impression he had done so before, perhaps many times.
Kaoori's picture

"You mean you've done it

"You mean you've done it before?" SHe can't imagine having to kill an enemy, lifetime after lifetime.

"Yes." He's not sure what

"Yes." He's not sure what more to say about it, not really understanding the cycle himself. "Though not always." His voice is quiet and expression calm, but you can tell this is a source of deep melancholy for the stag. "Sometimes he kills me. Sometimes we kill each other."
Kaoori's picture

Kaoori flattened her ears.

Kaoori flattened her ears. "What would happen if he kills you here?" She began to worry, now.

"I do not know." Shifting so

"I do not know." Shifting so his side rested against hers he tried to reassured her. "There is no knowing what my deity plans for me." He lets out a deep rumbling sigh, smiling. "Well, I suspect that is all the sour news out of the way...Enough of all that, tell me more of your new twins. What are they like? Do they take after Wesker and yourself?"
Kaoori's picture

"I hope your deity is kind to

"I hope your deity is kind to you. " After that, she dropped the subject as well, Queze's presence a great comfort.

" They are growing so fast.." A smile spread to her face. They always grew fast. But that meant they were healthy, even though sometimes it made her sad.
"Reira is defintely a Daddy's girl. She gets her way all the time, simply has to pout and run to Dad. Seifer.. I'm not sure who he's going to take after. He's quiet most of the time, tends to hang back and observe other deer rather than interact with them if he doesn't know them well. What surprises me both is their colors. Dark and light.. black and white. They're polar opposites of each other, but are somewhat alike in their personalities."
