Howdy. I recently came back to TEF and one of the things I've done in my spare time was play New Leaf obsessively. I would love to play with y'all.

I'm almost done cataloging every item in the game and I've figured out a lot of weird little things with shrub mechanics that other websites haven't really talked about yet, and I know a number of other tricks.

If anyone needs any help anywhere just let me know.

@Archinois, OMG, I heard about moving villagers to other towns but I'm still unsure how that works and does it have to work both ways? Like, for them to come to my town, I need to have someone go to your town? o.o

Okay all set now to use the diving trick on gruff when he's out and about till he desides to move :3

Also a fun little tip for those who go to club tortimer and run into a griefer who ruins your fun or torments you, if they start say cutting trees or scaring off bugs intentionally or something, one way you can turn the tables on them is to start a tour but not sit on the chairs, they wont be able to leave until you either cancel the tour or they hit the wi-fi switch effectively trapping them and making anything they collected before the last save disappear. (please use this method only as a griefer table turner and not to torment other players who are innocent)

This method can also be used to prevent others from appearing on the island your on if you're only bug hunting and such and dont want to be disturbed since you can find some international zone which is at night when your timezone is during the day. If someone is on that island you can quickly go on a tour and be sent back to an island in the same time of day as the one you left but only you will be there.

Hope this helps people prevent griefers from getting the last laugh.

Well Its more a method to get rid of them and spoil their fun trolling, but if your lucky you won't deal with trolls much. Lately I've avoided international play and so far I've had not one troll to deal with in my own country, at least as far as I know, some I skipped by while searching for the mermaid set, thought half of them I ran into about 4 more times XD
As for starting conversations It works for the most part but when your on a japanese island it becomes a lot harder to bridge the communication gap. Thought most would leave at that point anyhow, but yeah good to know options like the trap should one troll deside to appear on your island and start trashing it while your bug hunting, why let them drive you off when you were there first and let them get away with treating people poorly when you can turn their bad behaviour back on them and have a chuckle in the process.
Sure you may lose some progress on the bugs and such but if your gonna go down might as well drag their sorry backsides down with you.

And once more I go on a weird ranting kinda tangent.. I really need to get that under control XD
Long story short both our methods have good uses, more options, the better to keep things fun if someone is mean and trying to ruin it.

Also feel free to visit my dream town, though most of its beauty is currently moved to the beach for hybrid breeding reasons XD feels so naked without the flowers in their place..
