.The ground was pelted with rain. The afternoon sun had long since fallen in its journey above the trees. Puddles dwelled on top of hoof-printed dirt, promising green sprouts for the long week ahead. Stones darkened as they were sprinkled and as the ground began to loose its heat, fog rolled in like a plague. It was August, the twenty third, many-- many moons ago my fawn. And the sky's were dark, and only the moon spilled its silvery light over leaves and moss-covered ground. Under the wet soil, not so deep, a deer slept in peace. She had long since been forgotten and had heard every fawn's footsteps that came after her, running happily on the dust-covered surface. Her flesh had long since become part of the earth, and her bones had nearly turned to ash. Yet she waited, patiently.
"Chaeli, your mission has come." In the crossroads of time, spirits gathered and mingled in the earthen doe's mind. Between life and death, imagination and reality. Heaven and earth. "You shall live again. For a spirit made of light will enter your lifeless body, for one purpose. You cannot stray from your mission for it has already been written for you. Your spirit will guide you, it will be you. We will give you a light, candles will be upon your antlers. And we will give you a name. You will have flesh, and fur once more. And you shall be pure, and by no means will you ever stray from it.
You will not see, you will not speak nor will you hear anything un-pure or evil, until you are tested. Until then, you may hear only the Holy thoughts of others, and their Holy words. You may speak only to them in their minds, and you will speak only of the light and of goodness. And you will not see. You will see only the spirits of the good, and the pure. The others will be ignored by you, for they are not worthy to be noticed by the Holy.
You shall be called Bidelia by many. Enid by others. Do not become proud, and remember your purpose for this life. And you shall have great rewards in Heaven."
The muddy ground had nearly become a swamp when the doe emerged. The fog rolled over her like a soft blanket as her legs pushed her shoulders up. She rolled onto her hoofs and hung her head. She was caked in mud, and nothing about her seemed pure at all. I'm alive.
The doe thought. Her legs were weak, and her body was shaggy, trodden and old. Very old. She didn't know how much time she had before her time would come yet again, to become part of the earth. My spirit will make my body young. a thought came to her. Howls of wolves echoed and bounced off trees in waves, broken by the rain. She feared not, for she couldn't be harmed until it was her time. She still didn't have the strength to lift her head, yet to her feet there was a light. Candles, they were lit above her. She was exhausted and needed a place to sleep. Carefully she stumbled to the pond when she realized she was very thirsty. Her lips touched the cool water, and soon enough she carefully lifted each foot to walk through the water. Her crusted hooves were made clean as she walked, then her legs, and shoulders were washed clean. This will make my spirit and body cleansed. She hung her head in the water and heard the sizzle of the candles go out. She brought her head back up, and they were lit once again. A miracle. She was fascinated with the physical world, how things moved and tasted. How this thing called a body, could move and be controlled by her mind and spirit. When she had fully submerged herself, she once again hung her head, and fell beneath a tree with long, flowy branches. A willow. The thin branches lifted in a dance as a gust of wind and fog rolled across the pond. She lifted her head only to find a dove had passed gracefully overhead. Her head dropped heavily, and slept.

OMG, it's so late.....
Mmk. So I really wanted to explain Mystress. I know she's complicated, but shes a good ol' soul, and now you know why. In the next chapters I'll explain a bit morea bout her "spirit", she'll have dreams and that will explain it all...
Chaeli = Celtic word for "Who is Like God"... In a sense, I suppose. Kind of like Michael... you know! Lol (F)
Oh, thank you Fleder, what a compliment! I'm happy it's interesting enough to leave you wanting more! Sometimes I tie stuff off too perfectly and it leaves the reader satisfied and bored with the next part... I'm improving!
You are Gilda Eavan, caronwyn... You're name is beautiful.
Eavan= Fair one
caronwyn= sweetheart
Mystress loves Gilda! That's a perfect name for Lemon! I chose "Who is like God", Chaeli because it seemed to suit her. But she has 100 names from the spirits, and from humans, and deer, because she can't be described fully by one name. :') I love your story to death! :')
Thanks again!
This is beautiful!
I'm hoping that as I go along, Kaoori will have a past too. Probably nothing as grand.. but something I can write, so people can know her.

Thank you Yorres, I really do hope to get more soon, but balancing two books is really hard! LOL! I'm finding motivation thought and more should be out soon... Come to think of it-- I don't really remember exactly the first time she met him, but in the story it will be quite significant! :')
Wow, you write so

Wow, this is really
Also, I almost chose Enid for Lemon's celtic name; but I chose Gilda, which means 'slave for God'. I thought it was more suiting for her. <3
