Appearance
Ochiba is an elegant individual with an appearance that speaks of such. With long limbs and large ears, she is a fairly typical marsh deer. She is, however, a piebald and has blue eyes and pink skin underneath her fur, the color being most prevalent on her nose, inner ears, and hooves. Her pelt consists of large white areas and normally pigmented patches, the spotting pattern of which resembles that of an Ochiba Shigure Koi. Six feathers sprout from the back of her head, three on each side, and they have an almost fin-like quality to them. They may be raised, lowered, or splayed with so much as a small smirk or smile. She will also often wear a water lily behind her left ear, a gift from her mate Takeshi.
Devout/Long pelt | Real deer mask | Magpie antlers
Haunts
Ochiba appears to have an affinity for the pond and its inhabitants and may often be found near the water's edge. She has also taken a liking to the birch forest and will often rest under its watch or go there to spend quiet time with family and friends.
Track of course!

Anyway, glad to finally see this bio. Such a beautiful character.
TRACK :3
Okay, I just have to XD
Can I use one of my characters to roleplay with Ochiba? She's just such a lovely character :3
Mariposa laxly ambled to edge of the pond, her deep-black hair dragging along the ground behind her. The doe stopped walking as she heard the rustling sound and looked around her, seeing her hair tangled up in the leaves and twigs left on the dirt floor. Mariposa grunted and trotted closer to the pond. She walked in to the shallow end, the water up to her knees. Mariposa lied down and gathered her hair in a little clump in front of her. Most of her hair was now soaked in the pond-water, but that made it easier to get out all of the rubble in her long hair. She began picking out the twigs and tattered leaves that weaved their way in her hair with her teeth.
He knew where to find her
"Ochiba. Don't worry about me. I know you are. I'm- well, more concerned about you. "

Kaoori: Thanks, Kimi.
Ravus: Thank you for the track. I only just overheard that you were taking your leave, though. I hope that that is not the case. I will most certainly miss you and your character if it is...
Bayleen: (Thank you, and of course you may. My apologies for the delay.)
Ochiba had found her way to the pond some time ago, one foot in front of the other until she rested in the shallows. She crossed her hind legs daintily and tucked her forelimbs beneath her belly, the white of her casting the simplest of reflections upon the water's surface. It was there that she cast her gaze, her mind wandering as leaf litter and twigs began to gather at her breast.
She looked upwards as she realized that she was no longer alone and that another doe had come to free herself of some entanglement. "Oh, hello," she mustered quietly, feathers splaying against the back of her neck. She could do with a distraction.
Kaoori:
Deer had a way of sneaking up on Ochiba as of late, distracted as she was, but she had come to recognize the sound of Takeshi's hoofsteps and did not so much as budge as he approached. In fact, she welcomed his presence. It was the sigh that caught her off guard. "How about we both worry then and call it even?" she returned with a small smile, arching her neck to meet him face to face, muzzle to neck as she nuzzled him gently. "I missed you."

She chuckled quietly as she returned to her feet. "Please, there's no reason to apologize. It happens to the best of us." She found the other's animated mannerisms most reassuring. "My name is Ochiba... Would you like some help with that?"
Kaoori:
She got lost in those eyes for a moment, forever thankful that he would so often remove his mask in her company. "Well enough," she nodded. "My stomach has settled, so I consider that a plus. What about you, Astroboy? I better not see any more black on your blue."
Takeshi snorted, shaking his

"So...Ochiba, do you have a family?" Mariposa asked curiously.
Kaoori: "That doe with the
"That doe with the phoenix feathers? Please," she scoffed quietly. It was so much easier to look back on any event with an air of arrogance when things were over and done with. "She simply insisted on making something out of nothing."
It was then that she noticed some dried blood upon his pelt and a small frown overtook her features. "Your leg... What happened?"
Bayleen:
The piebald took a seat near her newfound company. The other had surely explored every nook and cranny of the forest, if that were at all possible. "It is times like these that make me thankful that I have such a fine coat of fur. It isn't just the water that rolls right off of it," she chuckled, removing a small twig with her teeth and depositing it in what could potentially be a small pile in time.
"A family? Of course. Doesn't everyone to some extent?" she questioned quietly, cocking her head to one side slightly. "I have not seen my mother and father in some time, to be honest, but I live with my mate and his family. I can only hope that they have room for one more, for our little one on the way." Her eyes fell downwards as a small smile took hold of her muzzle. The news had been out in the open for some time now, but the words still felt strange upon her tongue. For a doe that enjoyed basking in the spotlight, she was quick to redirect the attention elsewhere for the time being. "What about you, Mariposa?"
In the pause that Ochiba
In the pause that Ochiba took, Mariposa smiled at the doe. "Aww, that's wonderful to have a mate and family! You're very lucky to have a fawn soon. I've always loved fawns. They're quite cute and curious little beings. It's adorable. I've always wanted a family myself..."
Mari's voice trailed off.
~She remembered the nights in her high tower. The moon rose high above Mariposa and her prince. Though she could not hear anything in this vision, she remembered their conversations. They were laughing now...His blue eyes shined as brightly as the stars in the sky above them. She couldn't take her eyes off of him. He caught her staring at him. She looked away at first, but then he leaned forward and pressed his lips to her dainty-pink lips. Their first kiss...~
Mariposa closed her eyes, remembering the blissful moment.
As the vision blurred and ended, she heard a feminine voice whisper in her ear, "My sweet girl..You do not remember, do you?"
Mariposa opened her eyes once again. It had been a minute or two after Ochiba had asked the question to her. Mariposa blinked and shook her head a bit. She blushed and stammered, "Oh...oh yes! I'm sorry. Umm..I was just..I had..... Well, Uh, that's a...a complicated question."
Takeshi blinked, looking at
Bayleen: "They're cute and
"They're cute and curious and quite the handful, I imagine," she chuckled quietly. "But you are right. I am lucky." Her smile creased her eyes at the corners, a thank you in its simplest acknowledgement.
Some time had passed before the other had replied and even then Mariposa seemed distraught. Ochiba lowered her head, inclining it slightly. Her voice was softspoken as if to settle her company. "Is everything all right?"
Kaoori:
"And don't you scowl at me, Takeshi. I have every right to worry. You promised me that you wouldn't get into anymore fights..."
She sighed, the sound collecting in the air before her as she laid her head across his back. "What am I going to do with you?"
He sighed, straightening up
"That's right, because they
"...Can we go back to him and her, he and she? They and them suggest that I have more than one in there." The very thought of it made her uncomfortable. Literally. She fidgeted.
Takeshi flattened his ears,
"That's better," Ochiba

Mariposa looked at Ochiba and nodded, forcing a smile. "Oh, of course. I'm fine, I think," Mariposa said nervously. Her head ached a bit after the flashback. The doe's head swayed slightly from the dizzyness.
Mariposa composes herself once more and replied, "Yes..I did have family- in a different world from her. A human world, if you've heard of it... I had two parents. They were king and queen. My mother was barren at first, unable to reproduce. So they went to a witch and she granted them a child; Me. But in payment, my parents had to give me to her when I was sixteen. They agreed. So over the years I lived with them, pampered in royalty and peace. Yeah, it was nice at first. But then it just got annoying. I was locked up in my home with nothing new to explore or do. But my parents loved my very extremely much.. I miss them..."
Mariposa looked down for a moment, sadly staring at the water that serenely swayed around them while her hair moved along with its current.
"Anyways," she continued looking at Ochiba. "When it was time for me to go with the witch, they refused to let me go. I didn't want to go either. I did not miss the material things they gave me, but I definitely missed them. Hara, the witch's name, took me away by force. She wasn't a cliched, scary witch you'll always hear of in fairytales. She was just like any other human, though yes, her apparel and physical features were a but fantasy-oriented. At first, it was hard to get used to being in a high, secluded place. But the view was breathe-taking. Over the years I grew up there, Hara taught me everything there was to know. The Arts, language..mostly those two subject. So... maybe not everything. Hara taught me mostly about life. I wasn't able to experience a lot of it- I'll be honest. Being far from the ground has its bad side. Given the circumstances, I could not be with the world. So, she brought it to me."
Mariposa takes a moment and pauses. She lifts her head and observes the beautiful forest around her. "I've never seen something this beautiful," the doe says in an awe-struck, dreamy tone of voice. "Hara..she taught me how to care. For people, others. I had books to read and things to do. I know I didn't deserve it. She was a kind and wise person, magical even."
Mariposa closed her eyes and said guiltily, "But I disobeyed her...and she didn't deserve that..I was selfish, that's what I think."

She, however, was a bit taken back. "What's that supposed to mean?" she questioned abruptly with a snort and a glare that only a doe could achieve. Pregnant does were even worse. Scary, even.
Bayleen:
Ochiba tried her best to follow along with the other's story. She had heard of humans, she obviously knew deer, but she had never met anyone that had crossed the boundary between the two. There was a great pause before the piebald attempted to coax more words out of her company.
"And for that she made you a deer? ...What happened, Mariposa?"
silentlikethat: Thank you so much. It is nice to see your name on the community site again. &hearts
Mariposa looked at Ochiba and
Mariposa looked at Ochiba and said, "When Nara found that I had disobeyed her and fallen in love with a man, she grew furious. She took me from my love and literally threw me out. I soared through the air for such a long time, it was interminable. And finally, I landed here where she had changed me into a deer. I wandered the forest, searching for my love. But I could not find him.."
Mari closed her eyes for a moment and sighed. Then she continued, "Over the months, he was no where to be found. So, I gave up and stopped fretting over it. I had to move on with my life and not waste it looking for him."
Her ear twitched as she heard a twig crack. She gently turned her head and saw her prince walking through the trees. He looked like he was in deep thought and worried. She calmly watched. Usually, she wound jump up a run after him. But now, she watched her own hallucination until his figure disappeared from her eyes.
Mariposa looked back at Ochiba. "Every once in a while, I might think that he's...still there...But I can't do anything about it. And I don't know how to go back and be human again..."
Ah, nothing, nothing! It was

Bayleen:
"Maybe you can..." Her voice trailed off for a moment as she attempted to piece recent events together into something that she hoped would prove helpful. "If you could return to the human world, do you think that you could find Hara? I haven't seen it for myself, but a few deer recently came back from a place outside of this forest. I overheard something about a link or a light in the birch."
Kaoori:
Ochiba rolled her blue eyes full circle before hiding them behind their lids and shaking her head. "Nice save. Baka."

When he returned after a few moments, a small bouquet of poppies was left in front of her for when she awakened. He knew they helped her feel better. Mixed in with the flowers was a small water lily that he had crawled underneath the bridge after. It was a sign that spring would be here soon.
He trotted off again, in search of food for himself and to work his leg some more.

Kaoori: The piebald awoke
The piebald awoke slowly and stretched her limbs to ready them for the new day. It was only after a few half-mast blinks that she found her bouquet, the gifts that her mate had left her, and a small smile took to her muzzle. "Takeshi, you dork," she said quietly to herself, nosing the water lily in particular. They were her favorite. "I'm going to have to get you back for this when you least expect it."
Amazon: Haha, I've done that before, many a time. Thank you. &hearts

He stood up slowly, quietly, so he didn't disturb her, then made his way to the poppy patches. The seeds, he'd found out from his mother, who'd found out from Noelle, helped with pain and generally helped relax one. Trotting back and dropping those before her, he made his way to the pond, grabbing some waterweeds and bringing those back. They'd make a fine nutritious breakfast for two.
Satisfied, he lay back down. He'd eat later.

Ochiba, however, would wake up as soon as he settled back by her side. She was restless, and the little life that she carried made sleeping through an entire night a difficult and seemingly impossible task. She welcomed distractions, especially in the form of such kind gestures. "My hero," she whispered before grooming behind his left ear affectionately. It had suddenly become a better day.
OokamiAzura: Thank you so much. It means a lot to hear that. ^^
