How many years has it been?
Has spent the last few months with little in the way of drama. Content to be bored most of the time, although she does at times feel quite lonely. As such, she has been happily reconnecting with Illrose and Carmine when she comes across them. In particular, surprised and incredibly grateful when first Illrose and then Carmine sought her out in the deep fog of October and stayed with her for a number of days until it passed; the mist bound her senses uncomfortably and left her on edge and feeling blind, but having a steady presence greatly eased that stress.
A little more melancholy now that the snow has arrived, often lost in thought. Not really a fan of the cold. Spending a little more time around Eraline's grave when she's on her own.

Hm. Seems like this scratching against Pai's leg was working. Kind of. Some of it was working her way into her thin coat and crumbling there, so dotting Pica with more bits of dried mud - it was nearly enough to make Pica turn into a mud-of-same again, seeing that drying off wasn't worth it. She was just about to jump into the ditch to roll around the steep bank to coat herself in mud again when she was struck with the thought - what about her blueberries? If she turned into a mud-monster then eventually she'd have to dry out to get her blueberries. Oh, the horror, the horror.
Now with a rather determined attitude, Pica rubs vigorously against Pai's legs, unaware of Pai's questioning look. When Pai spoke though, Pica tipped her head up with a grumpy expression; "Don' get Pica questioning again on whatsa 'Miss' because Pica is busy." Checked her work - satisfactory - and went on to the other strong leg, commenting airily as she ambled to the other side of Pai, "Oh, just helping Pai clean off her legs. Y'know?" The fawn tilted her sideways to peer at Pai from her right eye as she began her work on Pai's left leg.

"Oh, I see," Phai replies. "Well, thank you very much for your help, Miss Pica." Pica was getting called 'Miss' now whether she liked it or not; the fawn's initial reaction had been too amusing for her to pass up the chance. She's such a serious little thing, sometimes. It's adorable.
The doe lifts the leg Pica had finished scrubbing and cranes her head down as though to inspect the fawn's work with a thoughtful "Hmm" before she nods and sets it down again. "You've done a very good job." She's going to make Pica's head swell up and pop one of these days, but oh well. "Where would you like to dry off after we're all clean?" There's no sense in letting yourself be wet all day, after all; you get stinky after a while.

Phaios had been wandering towards the pond when an unfamiliar deer shot by her, absentmindedly watching her surroundings as she strolled; the doe has had a great many things on her mind, of late, and tends to get lost in thought rather easily these days. The sudden motion and thundering of hooves catches her attention, however, and she pulls herself out of her own little world in time to hear the other deer shouting at the cold white statues on the hill. Head tilting to one side with mild curiosity, Phai watches for a moment before starting to move towards the water again. Whatever was going on, it wasn't her business. If the stranger had a quarrel with the gods, it certainly wasn't her place to interfere.

"Mhm. Now, d'other legsie - Hey! Who you callin' Miss Pica?" The fawn mutters indignantly, unsure whether to be flattered or huffy. Decided to go with the flattered. Inspecting Pai's other leg, it seemed that legsie would be okay without Pica cleaning it anyways. Humming happily, Pica eyes Pai inspecting her 'work'. She couldn't help but crane her neck up earnestly to see Pai's reaction, and when she did, she puffed herself up proudly. "Ho yiss, Pica does a good job always. Eh? Dry off? Prob'ly da blueberry-bowl. That okay, Pai?" Already though, Pica was hopping her way to the berry-filled bowl eagerly, with no doubt anticipating a berry-feast.

The larger doe's hesitance hadn't gone unnoticed in their past few encounters. She's somewhat reluctant to leave her grandchildren behind, but they seem content with their sitter and it doesn't take much to get her to follow, curiosity piqued. Ah... the poppy tree. That's no surprise. The question, however, is. "Angry..?" She almost laughs. And here she'd thought Dinah had been avoiding her because she was angry. "I can't imagine where you got that from." Probably in her own stiffness out of fear of Dinah's disfavor... Hah. Though there were the past week's events... She hadn't put much thought to them outside their larger concerns.

"That sounds fine to me," Phai agrees on the drying place - though Pica seems to already be ahead of her. Kicking into an easy trot, she follows after the fawn. "You like blueberries a lot, huh?" Gee, who could've guessed that one?

The brown-furred doe blinks as the stranger approaches the place she'd been sitting. She'd seen Rhoda around the forest a couple of times, but wasn't particularly familiar with her. "Hello," she answers softly. Phai studies the other with a hint of curiosity; Rhoda looked a little perplexed.

Why was it such a long way from the crystone to the blueberry place?! Huffing, the small faw nods as she trundles along happily, completely agreeing with Pai's comment about her love of blueberries. Darnit - walking was too slow, and besides, Pica reasoned as she took a quick glance behind, Pai was catching up with her long legs and swift trot. Willing her chubby self to waddle faster, the fawn imagines herself as a speeding Hidden One, long and rangy like Pai and on her way to bulldoze the blueberry bush. It got to the point of imagination when Pica was at the edge of the bowl and flung herself in the bushes with a warcry of, "Berrryyyyyyy~...." imagining her wings to lift her gently into the centre of the lushest looking berries.
As it was, she had to get up to dust herself off when she rolled down the sides.
