alcinda: When I find how do
When I find how do "quote," I'll do it...
Anyway, alci; as happened me several times, I hit some similar behavior in life situations where take or done something and later required sssomething from the other. They're was in damn big troubles... And yes, it is only opinion and also experience, I guess.
I do not trust the things about which I am not fully convinced, and yes, for me is that a little less I think I will see. A model of Tin Deer? And so what? People can modeling for fun, but what about show an animation of grazing? If I will see a created animations, I will be more believing that something is happening behind scenes.
Now I didnt see that money will be actually used. Just the fact that they will "postpone" (or whatever they're call it...) made in me a feeling of insecurity if development even begins. Then they can say anything and puff, money flow far away. And plus they're actually behav and disabling comments... I really don't like such behav...

Yea, remember that there was an event where people show designs and some of them went to the game, it's true... It was really pretty to looking on others ideas. I think I was posting there too, but I'm not sure.

I also have to admit that grasslands or that weird creature I can't still remember that name..., I did not expect; new locations like the open plains, was one of my silent wish when I was here on Forest more active, after all, I still can imagine how this all will be looking (and exited from) but still, anyway, I do not trust much of their plan until it really starts. So, I will hold a certain skepticism, and I will not back away from that I feel pressure from their side.

Animations come after a certain amount of euro is reached. Until then they won't waste time working on what might not ever come.
Many don't like the way they behave but it doesn't make evidence for scamming. Skeptical is okay but I think you have no real evidence of concern besides doubt.

I think one of my major
It's either silence or just a petty "you're better than this!"
I think the whole idea of "sort it amongst yourselves" can only go too far before it's an giant mess like this, because a whole lot of us have different opinions.
Quote:Skeptical is okay but I
That's why it is calling - skepticism.
And thanks for help. .)

What do you mean, 'so what?' By that logic, they could animate a grazing action 'for fun.' Not sure why one is more valuable than the other in terms of development.
They have to re-code the game from scratch and ect, so those kind of things won't come until later, anyway. Besides, we already have an animation that could possibly be used for grazing (the drinking action).
They haven't even received the funding yet, so it's no surprise they haven't started the game yet. They don't get the money until after the campaign. \:
If you're skeptical and distrustful of M&A, then by all means, don't donate. Many of us will be donating, though.
Edit: AND YEAH, what okaymeng said..
Man I wish my bios got this
Chjooo... Vivala
Yes, I am, and I will be skeptical.
I'm not saying I will not donate later when all this starts to move, anyway, until I will have a certain distance from such things and promises. But it seems from you're something like "others will be" it's sounds, that who is not donating is less important or something like that, alci.
... just ignore that, I just training "quote"... : D xD
Let's list what exactly we
Bare points, no emotion. Lemme start.
I'd like to hear more about the visual side of the remake.
We know that Unreal will upgrade and open the game to other platforms [Mac, Linux], we learned that it enables real textures [wood, metal, etc.] and neat particle effects.
The promotional videos for the engine feed much to imagination, though.
All due to its advertised capabilities and superior quality as opposed to what we see in the current game.
So, how will the new forest look like? Which parts of the engine's potential will be utilized?
And how will current textures/models be used in the remake? Simply ported or built upon?
Will you make changes to the POV/camera [so we may get a closeup, or see the sky and the branches overhead, for example]?
Quote:Lets list what exactly
But yes.
My questions are
Can we have a proper detail explaination of why its better to break the remake into 3 parts instead of remaking the whole game one time. Isn't it a waste of time and euro? If it is not please explain how.
Why 46 thousand euros for fawn magic? Isn't it easy and cheap to add that when remaking the new codes?
I think half of my questions
But I will ask Is there a reason why the community site fixes seem so low priority?
Will we be able to get a rundown on what will be being worked on? (once things get kicked into gear) Like kind of a schedule or something? (It doesn't have to have ETA dates, coming from experience those create pressure especially when they aren't met on that exact day)
A bump...

Quote:But I will ask Is there
I mentioned something about this. Like I said before, I can understand not making it the number one priority, but I don't think it should be so low on the list. The community site is, to most of us, an important part of the whole experience of TEF. The way we use it, it's really part of the game.
& Bumping..
Hello i was reading a bit on
Using the opportunity to ask
Does moving to the new version imply losing one's set? (particularly concerned about those that can only be casted by Gods)

Legit or random spam? the newsletter email is the right one, weird.

okaymeng,
Keepiru,
I suggest you email them.
What I got was a reminder about the campaign ending soon.
Uitleger, I have read that.
I just want to know their reasoning for how it make sense and how it is
if most people wont want to play phase one because no RP from not having sets will not be fun for most. They will want to play the old version with so much more to do anyway. If it's phase one, it will be a mostly empty forest.
That still doesn't explain how it is better use of the money and if it makes more sense or I'm missing it still.
Preference =/= cost Efficient and good idea.
I am waiting for answers from creators.
The quote answered your
The devs have a preference towards the phase development because that's the realistic way to start making a 40k multiplayer Unreal engine game with 27k money.
Gamedev takes planning to eliminate risks. That's why they build the essentials first, expand on them later when they have the resources. That's how this forest was made.
Hammering the full game together when you lack a third of the sum to cover the production, thus with no way to plan forward and no set timelines?
That's exactly how you blow your money.
As I'm not their official spokesman, I'm sure they'll reply to you regardless, btw.
Quote:Hammering the full game
Of course that would be stupid. It make more sense to begin developing when getting the money you NEED to finish. Nobody is saying make all of it with 27k.
Few will probably play first phase anyway so the wait is worth it.
Yes.
I got the newsletter about

We've gone over 30K thanks to some amazing individuals. I'm so happy we can see something come out of this for everyone.
Also I loved seeing the conversion of ear movement from Quest3D to the Unreal engine posted on ToT's Twitter. The deer texture even looks better using it.

Seconding Mauv here honestly.
I don't have the energy to put my thoughts into words properly but I'd really love to see an open and honest discussion on this because I know many other people feel the exact same way and are disappointed. It just isn't spoken about openly on here.
