(I decided to put up my own diary, but I don't yet know if I am going to give Vena her own personality as a RP-character. For now, I am going to play her as myself only. Because of that, I'll tell you about the things that have happened to me in the forest in not-too-poetic way. But this diary will probably go through many changes in the future, as things clear up for me and I'll understand them better, and I know how I want to write. Please bear with me :3
Oh, and for some reason I can't take screenshots in the game o_o It should take them when I press the P key, right? This diary is going to have one screenshot, and that was taken by pressing the Print screen-key. But if anyone could tell me what I should do to in this situation, I would be grateful!
Okay, so on we go..)
My little fawn opened her eyes for the first time yesterday. Dazzled and a bit confused by her beautiful surroundings, she balanced herself on her wobbling four legs, and left to explore this unfamiliar, yet strangely captivating world.
She met up with quite a few stags on her way, and also befriended some of her own age. She spent most of her day with one certain fawn, but sadly I couldn't get a picture of her (for I can't take screenshots). I kind of remember her picto, though.
Little children need a lot of sleep, and so do the fawns. As the night was creeping closer, Vena found her body getting heavier, her legs going weaker and her mind getting more and more blurry. But she was playing with her friend, she couldn't let herself be like this! But the strength of one small fawn is very limited, and because of that, Vena couldn't fight her drowsiness for too long. When she and her friend lay themselves down on the rough surface of one big playground rock, Vena gave up and let the slumber embrace her.
When she woke up, she found out she was all alone, only the two stags she played with earlier were lying alongside each other a few meters away. But her new friend was nowhere to be seen.
With her restored strength, she jumped to her feet and hopped off the rock, and started searching for her friend.
Along her search, Vena saw a lot of other deer. She didn't go to them this time, though she is a very curious and social little being, but she watched them from afar. She saw some cast some kind of spells, giving them, for example, new dashing antlers. It fascinated young Vena, but she knew she had to continue looking for her friend, so she didn't stare at anyone for too long.
In the end, Vena was unable to find her friend, and a little discouraged, she slouched her way to the bridge. But there she found many stags and fawns, and before she could realize it, they were surrounding her and bowing down to greet her. Vena happily returned the bow, and she felt her mood get back up with a flash.
The rest of the evening Vena danced and played with the other deer, especially with one certain fawn and a grown up stag (or doe..? Again, I couldn't take screens of them, but if you recognize yourself from this description, do make yourself known : D). They bounced by the river, hopped over it many times and ran alongside it. There was a big rock at the beginning of the river, and it looked like it was crying. Vena examined it carefully, and found it quite breathtaking - very beautiful, yet very sad. This land was certainly some kind of incarnation of beauty.
But as it was stated before, fawns can tire themselves very quickly, and after a lot of playing and running and dancing she felt the familiar drowsiness creeping up her body again. She looked at her companions and called out to them, hoping they'd understand her following actions.
Having said good bye (or good night?), she lay down on the grass, and closed her deep, dark-colored eyes, which shone like black pearls, and her body relaxed. Vena had fallen asleep again, this time to take a good night's sleep.

This morning she woke up to a strange, chilly feeling, and she quickly regain her senses. She opened her glistening eyes, and she was stunned.
Something white was peacefully falling down from the sky.
It was snowing.
The surprise slowly gave way to sudden excitement, and Vena sprung up and started bouncing around in the white, cold rain. It was only her second day in this world of many secrets, and she again saw something entirely new. And pretty, that's for sure.
As she was running through the forest, she run into two stags (or does, she wasn't sure), and they quickly catched up with her. Greeting them, she was very happy for having some company again.
Together with her new acquaintances she enjoyed the snow, and tried out some spellcasting, too. The other deer casted many spells on her, giving her an entirely new pelt, some masks and other various things. They didn't last long, of course, but gave her a quick look at what she could do - and how she would look like - in the future.
(This is the only screen I have for now, taken with the print screen key. If you recognize yourself from this, do tell me! : D)
After some playing around, we all lay down beneath one big tree, and Vena thought it was a good time to get some rest again. And there she still is, sleeping with her fluffy head against the soft grass.
Sounds like your little fawn
I'm not sure about it not taking screenies...it's possible that the screenies are there, but sometimes they are simply hidden. This is what happened to me, and it was fixed by going to C:\Program Files\Tale of Tales\The Endless Forest 3\screenshots and then pressing a button that said Compatibility Files (I use Windows Vista).
Hope that helps!
This made me smile c:
Just the p key didn't do it
Sunflare; Yes she did n_n It
