Story: Some of Yorres' saga is recounted in the continuing story Limbo.

Profile: Yorres is a solitary deer, and seeks out the quiet places in the forest. He is devout, and spends time each day at the Godhead.

He is a quiet, thoughtful, careful and highly intelligent stag. His constant rumination alienates him from many other deer, but he does not particularly mind as his thoughts make excellent company. Yorres may seem aloof, but quietly seeks the company of other deer.

Yorres is not particularly playful or active. He prefers to watch others quietly from a distance, or to sit/stand perfectly still for long stretches of time whilst contemplating. He is a strange deer, but a true and good-hearted friend lies behind his somewhat intimidating intellect.

Yorres enjoys solving mysteries, and loves to roam the Forest, helping his friends and acquaintances with their various problems. At night, he remains hidden from the herd in a secret den, where occaisionally lost or troubled deer will seek his counsel or magical aid.

Family: As a fawn, Yorres was orphaned. Though never adpoted by any individual family or deer, Yorres was cared for by the community at large. He spent most of his time in the company of elder stags, in particular Sluggs, Magnet, and Ocelo. Unlike his peers, who were usually at play, Yorres was frequently found hiding, wandering and thinking. He became piously and humbly devoted to the Twin Gods of the Forest, whom he has come to regard as generous foster-parental figures. As a stag, he adoped the fawn Kaoori, who later became his adopted daughter and capable apprentice.

Magic: Through his study and meditation, Yorres has become the Sorceror of Light. As a teacher, he seeks the fawns of the Forest in order to teach them about magic.

Lightbringer: Yorres was also the first Lightbringer, Lightworker and Lightcreator. He was knighted Lightgod (a title he eschews) by CelticMystress on September 24, 2008. Yorres disbanded the Lightbringers in March 2013.

Powers/Strengths: Yorres is a Magician of the First Order, a servant of the Secret Fire. There is little he cannot accomplish with magic. The Gods have granted him the powers of the Light, which he will only use in the most dire of circumstances. In addition, Yorres possesses a supreme intellect and is a master of strategy. If required to engage in combat, he uses transformation, teleportation and illusion to frustrate and bewilder his opponent.

Weaknesses: Yorres is not a strong physical combatant and does not like to spar. He also is not a particularly fast runner, but prefers eluding an opponent to engaging in real fighting.

Likes: Silence and solitude. Prefers study to company. Loves a good argument, and is a devoted friend and teacher.

Dislikes: Bullies, Liars, Troublemakers and Drama Queens. Does not suffer fools gladly. Yorres stands firmly on the side of righteousness and does not tolerate evil of any kind, fighting and risking personal injury to protect those he cherishes.

Appearance: Yorres is lean and Holmesian - scruffy and bohemian, yet expressive and handsome. His age is undeterminable as he appears neither old nor young (but is middle-aged in reality). Yorres takes some pride in his ability to alter his appearance with magic to suit his needs, and may alternately appear very young or very old (or as another creature altogether) to further enhance a lesson or when making a philosophical or ethical point.

Set: Yorres prefers poppied antlers, masquerade/magpie mask and wears the space beluga pelt. He frequently travels disguised as a dove or rabbit.

Favorite Places: His secret den. He may also be seen near the Playground, the Godhead, or sleeping in the large circle of mushrooms near the Ename ruins.

Jag would love to relax and hang out with Yorres at some point in time. He loves to prance around and act a little childish with the fawns, but he also enjoys just to relax and absorb the peace and spirit of the forest.

I hope you don't mind, but Kaoori sort of looks to Yorres as a father figure because not only is she his apprentice, but he was her first friend and the first ever deer she met long ago in the forest. He taught her a lot and showed her many, many things as a fawn.

I'm not sure how to put this in a more, professional manner. And so many others would have a better way of addressing this to someone they love dearly.... This is not about me, but more, my concern for you. I've heard you've been feeling lonely. And I have not been present as of late dearest. Nor have I ever truly been, I feel, present for thee. The last time I checked, casting one (1) spell on another deer is hardly spamming.

And I don't consider it harrasment - Yorres and Baal are rivals.
Baal only has to do one thing, and he knows what it is, and Yorres will never walk in his hoofprints again.
I guess annoying RP is only annoying when it's annoying YOU, eh?

Actually what I said was on behalf of Baal's actual player, she does find it annoying.

And the plots Baal was in seemed to have been forced to a halt because of everyones constant complaining about Violence in the forest. He's not allowed to be a villain anymore because of it.

Walter attacked, we defended ourselves. Walter is the same as he has been for over the years he's been on TEF.

If Baal's player finds it so bothersome, she can speak up herself. If memory serves, you were one of those so sorry to see the loss of Baal's ( and others') random assaults on nameless and fawns, and the resultant atmosphere of anger and fear that permeated the forest entire. That tells me a lot about the both of you.

A single spell does not equal violence. Go fish.

EDIT: Duly noted. So I guess Baal just gets let off the old hookaroo?
That hardly seems fair... but if it's really chapping yr hinder, then I'll stop.
I just don't get it. I'm nice to everyone (except the murderer), and I'm the bad guy.

I have never randomly

I have never randomly assaulted anyone. I asked long ago for those who did not mind to speak up. They did and I copied their pictos and kept a list. If I did not see the picto on my list I had Baal dance, spellspam and play with them. I have never condoned random attacks on players. I have gone out of my way most times to avoid those who are uninterested and it doesn't matter anymore since the plot has been ended for quite a while. I am sorry to get upset here but I am very tired of being put down for a character. I never wanted to hurt feelings or harass players. I am truly sorry if you feel that you were annoyed. A simple stop bothering me would have been fine.

I don't really know what to say, other than I shouldn't be dragged into this because I never really wittenessed what went on.

I will say, the Lightbringers aren't supposed to encourage violence-- and, Yorres is right, one spellspam is not violence.

Baal, I know where you're coming from. Now that everything has ended, we have been trying to make things go back to normal. But characters will be characters and Yorres DID have a little bit of a problem with Baal.

Baal, I may have mis-understood. You want Baal to be totally foe-less? XD?

Either way guys, no one should leave.
Yorres, I don't know what I'd do if you left. But hey, I'm just ONE person... I wish it meant more.
And if you haven't left over this whole fiasco yet, I think the worst is over.

I'm not annoyed, just

I'm not annoyed, just frustrated that your character performed a horrific act, and has now been roundly embraced. This leaves my character, a good guy, in something of a conundrum. Now no one can seek satisfaction, because "that story is over", but how is Yorres supposed to act? Like he is happy to see Baal hopping around, surrounded by friends and protectors? That's baloney, and you know it, but now "you're done", so all I can do is walk away like my character's motivations are somehow beneath you and yours.

I think Yorres is too complicated and too underappreciated to continue playing him. Clearly, no one here gives a tin crap about him, his motivation or his story.

No. I never wanted him to be

No. I never wanted him to be foeless. I really always wanted him to be who he is, but the community wanted the character gone so his story is more or less nonexistent to me anymore. I never wanted a fight to start over a single spell. I just don't want to be spelled for no reason because of a plot that had to end. I love the fact that Yorres is such a spot on character. He was a wonderful foe when the story was around but now I pretty much just have Baal in forest as any other walk around deer. Had he attacked Yorres or bothered him I would have been a-okay with being spelled. But he didn't. He was just laying there playing out a small part of a day that I hadn't expected.

I have nothing at all against you Io-rez. If I came off that way you have my apologies. I am simply asking that the spelling end. Unless of course you wanted to have a little spar now and then with Baal or some such. I really don't mind characters being characters and Yorres attacking in his own way when provoked. Just please try not to take one's dislike of something so personally?

Aww, I'm sad to hear all this is happening. :<
Personally I love Yorres. I know he's a good guy and he'd never intentionally upset someone. And honestly, I don't consider one spell as harassment. I don't consider 5 spells harassment. That's half of playing the game is to interact. There's a lot of double standards going on around- but I won't comment on that.

I'm really hoping this will blow over. It seems like everyone's getting upset at other players now for one reason or another. 8(
