I went to see Wicked with a group of people and let me say i was blown away! I saw it in its west end show form with some big actors playing some of the parts. We saw it at the Apollo theatre and i had never been there either. Firstly i was wowed by the size of it then the display and sets and scenery of the the stage. They had put in all inches of detail and the dragon above was great so that was the first good bit. The songs were also top notch with the live orchestra giving them amazing sound quality as well as the already good song lyrics and tunes. Some people were saying that at the begining it was a little scary but for me just exciting, the lights were just going dim and it was about to start, i for one could not wait for it to begin. I must mension some of the actors and actresses of course, as well, all of them were good but watch out for Glinda, the first song does not give of her full potential (see popular, one of my favourite songs!
.) Also Elphaba is exceptionally good but all of the cast were at my full scale of well, everything! I loved the whole thing and could not fault it in my opinion. I wiull want to continue watching them now and am still humming Popular in my head, thank you!
Ah excellent to know! I'm
I adoreee
Unfortunately I'm something of a poser, I've read Wicked and the two books after and I've basically memorized the soundtrack, I've just never had the chance to see it actually performed ):
