What the title says and also how would I use the emotions to help get someone to give me a pelt or antler and such?

The purple symbols on the map

The purple symbols on the map mean that the deer those pictograms belong to are asleep. C8 If you go up to them, they`ll be curled up, sleeping. Your deer falls asleep if you sit still for more than five minutes.

And there are a few different ways to! You can always post something on the site here, asking for help. This covers most of the current sets in the game. CB

^ Yep. also, the brighter a pictogram appears, the closer that deer is to yours.

Usually the easiest way to communicate that you need help in-game is to use the actions to request for someone to follow you ('scratch the ground' and 'shake head yes' combined is the most common - but be nice and introduce yourself with a 'respect' bow, first :3 ), then go (after making sure they're following - it may take a few tries) to the proper place for whichever spell you want to receive (mushroom tree for masks, sleeping deer for pelt, pine tree for antlers, mushroom circle for a shape spell) and indicate the item with another 'scratch the ground'. Once they begin to cast on you, it's polite to click 'shake head no' for every spell you don't want, and 'shake head yes' when you get the correct spell. Usually there's a little celebration and then the players go on to the next set piece until the person has the full set they want, or if the person already has everything they want the users will play together for a while. If you don't want to play with the person who helped you or don't have time to, don't forget to say 'thank you' with another bow before you leave - they'll appreciate it!

Forest 'language' varies a little from person to person and the above isn't the only 'correct' method, but you'll pick up the dialect fairly quickly if you play regularly and over time it becomes second nature.
