((I will post two intros, one for Deer and one for Human))
Wafting, drifting on the breeze. The wind. The scent of roses, the soft brush of hooves against ground, a small stag, still a fawn, blue in color, petite in build, thin in frame, eyes shadowed by thick, soft lashes of dark teal above eyes of periwinkle.
From his antlers, no, they could not be called that, for they had no tines, did not stretch and reach, the antlers of a doe he had, curving gently back, green rose stems twirling around them, growing from them, the thick, brilliant cobalt blooms from which the strong scent came.
He picked his way amongst the trees, with the eyes of a hawk, and the mindset of a young rabbit, ready to run should he have to.
---
The thunder frightened him.
It was not raining hard, but the lightning flashed, and the thunder called like the wail of a wounded beast.
To his breast the man clutched a single rose of blue.
His hair, soft blue as well, cascaded gently down past his shoulder blades, bangs brushing just above his light blue eyes.
His hair, tucked behind his ear to one side, revealing the earring he wore, a single sapphire rose.
"I, I wish to be home, please go away" he pleaded under his breath to the thunder, the rain, the gods themselves to make the storm pass, soft, plush pink lips moving rapidly as he mumbled hollow words of comfort to himself.
Wish noted his T-shirt with
Jergers whipped his head back
Wish; The man laughed,
Wish;
The man laughed, leading the child outside, past the many flowering rose bushes, and onto the sidewalk, setting off, making sure that wish stayed close, not wanting him to run off and bring harm to himself.
Ginger;
He smiled, nodding slightly. "Okay, I was just making sure" he promised.
He stopped in front of a small shop, not as closed up or worn as most places where one might get their ears pierced, opening the door, making sure he held it open.
"After you?"
"Oh? Thanks..." Jergens
He had made sure from the get-go that he would (eventually) find some way to pay Rosine back for his kindness, be it in cash... labor or... he suppresed a mild snicker at the thought. No time for that now though... Anyway, he wanted to make sure that he got something relatively cheap to make sure that he COULD eventually pay it off. He looked over the prices... not like it did any good though... because he couldn't read. What was worth risking more... his pride and possibly Rosine's respect for him, OR Rosine's wallet AND his respect for him... He weighed the possibilites side to side and decided to just screw it.
"Rose?" he called him over a and pointed to some random spot on the case. "Can you..." Oh god... no going back now... "Can you read this to me?" he flushed with shame and embarasment. Did he seriously just ask that?
(OMG long post is long, sorry D: *gets carried away*)
((long posts are loved no
The blue haired boy looked over from where he had been speaking with the man at the desk, whom he seemed to know.
The question didn't seem to phase the boy, who walked over at an easy pace.
"Of course" he looked the case over.
"You're best bet is to get something small and made of actual silver, the fake ones can turn your ears green" he laughed lightly.
"plus some people have allergic reactions to it, and that's no fun" he tapped the glass, pointing to a nice, but simple pair.
"plus, getting ones that are too complex makes it hard for them to pierce your ears, this pair is nice, but still simple, so these or any pair like them of another size" another light chuckle, "careful though, get ones that are too big and it will hurt to use them to pierce your ears!" he warned.
"And price isn't much of a problem, most of these ones aren't expensive and even if they were it wouldn't matter" he promised.
Jergens kept the relief to
"Pay me back?" he paused,
"okay...you can pay me back, by helping me with my garden" he tilted his head, twirling his earring.
"and by letting me teach you how to read" he stated firmly.
Well, as firm as his voice ever was anyway.
"Now then, let's see about those ears of yours" he turned to call the man at the desk over, expression soft once again.
Jergers twitched a little...
He snapped out of his trance and looked over to the Rosine and the man talking things over, not that he was really paying much attention... he had never been all that good at that...
Rosine looked back, lips
"are you okay?" a brush of fingers over the red-head's shoulder, "no need to be nervous" he promised, tilting his head a bit so that only the other could hear him.
"and if it's something I said" smiled returning, light on his soft lips.
"I've known others much older than you who have trouble with much simpler tasks than reading" which was in fact a rather hard thing if one thought of it, all based on memorization, memorizing so many letters, more sounds, and yet even more punctuation, it was a wonder anyone could read at all.
"if you're ready you can sit over there" he stated as he regained his usual posture, "And I can promise it won't hurt"
"Hey, it's cool, just spacing
Okay, NOW he was starting to freak out, mentally of course. His outer demeanor was as peppy and cheerful as always. Inside, on the other hand, he suddenly had realized why his companion had been so terrified before to get both done. He resisted the urge to turn around and punch the bastard in the face. Good God to think that they would be SHOOTING into his...
"Okay, you're done." the man suddenly spoke to him
Oh, done already? Hm... seems his worrying had payed off after all...
"Told you, n-not so bad" he
He payed cheerily, turning back to his companion with a small tilt of his head, brushing his hair back from his eyes. "Now then, dinner, what shall we make, I'd like to know so I know what we're going to buy" half mused to himself, half to the other, biting his lip lightly in thought.
There was a dull, thudding
He resisted the urge to
Apparently, no such luck.
"oh, yes of course" he forced a smile, moving to sit down.
He bit his lip again, playing with the hem of his shirt.
Well, he wasn't trying to impress anyone.
And so he let his eyes snap shut, bravery was not his forte.
"Think I'd forget, silly boy?
A small nod was offered,
A small nod was offered, fingers, hand, body twitching slightly at the sharp sound that was made, but there was no real pain in it.
Slowly, soft blue eyes open, blushing at his own cowardice though only slightly.
"thank...thank you" he looked down at Jergens, not bothering to pull his hand away as he stood, handing money to the man.
"Mhm..." Jergens wasn't
"okay, let me think" he
"fish, fish sounds good, we can make fried fish" he nodded, simple to make, which was good as he didn't feel like making anything complex that night, help or not.
"if that's all right with you of course"
Jergens didn't care. In fact,
Wish skiped about going far
(OMG LONG!!!)
Ginger; "very well then" he
"very well then" he smiled, leading his cmpanion into a small store, looking around for a moment before turning to face the red haired boy.
"Why don't you go ask the man at the fish counter for some cat-fish?"
Wish;
Rosine laughed softly, watching the boy, so much braver than he himself was, but he seemed to know how to take care of himself.
He was very much content to simply follow the boy, and when he returned to his side,he laughed softly again as his hand was grasped.
Wish wanted nothing more then
He set off without a word,
He eventually found a display with... well... fish. No surprise, really. Though Jergens still felt a little odd about the whole thing. Whenever he would go into a store, he would shoplift, not buy. He felt rather peculiar to be actually doing what a normal human being would. Once he got what he deemed to be sufficent, he searched around for Rosine, not really knowing where he was going. He spot a flash of blue and headed towards it.
Whisper; I'll reply I swear
Ginger;
The blue haired boy turned, smiling gently as he took the fish from the other.
"Thank you, let's see..." he looked over the basket he held, checking to make sure he had remembered everything.
"okay" he looked up, smiling wider, "we're set, let's go" he turned to head up to the counter, paying quickly.
(No color xP I'm on my Wii
Jergens nodded and followed along, trudging right behind him on the sidewalk. He suddenly stiffened as he looked ahead. A man was walking his dog.
Jergens was terrified of dogs, freaking demons! He edged closer to Rosine (hoping that the other would not notice) while visibly shivering in terror.
God, he hated dogs...
