Weird orange candles/sticks?

I was playing TEF offline because of my terrible internet, then I noticed these mysterious orange candles/sticks scattered across the forest. I've never noticed them there before!
What are these unknown figures? And why have they chose to appear before my very eyes at this moment?

Those are candles, yes. They appear when you're playing offline. Those are also the spots they will appear when candles are decorating the Forest (while online) sometimes.

Yeah, what Pegasicon said is very true. When I was once or twice unable to connect to Internet for a while, thereby playing off, I've seen them on those places as well.

They normally appear....I think once in a while during the autumn season but mostly at the end of each year. You then use them like you would the poppy and violet flowers in order to wear candles on default antlers.
