USA question :)

One of my friends is going to the USA by the Work & Travel program... And I'm also thinking of it. She says: "don't even hesitate, it's cool". My mom has the same opinion and she also adds: "go, earn some many and buy as many objective lenses and photoflashes as you want". (yeah, i'm obsessed with them)))
But... I prefer Europe.
I've been to the UK once and I liked it soooo much. Smiling
Unfortunately i haven't found such summer programes in Europe Sad(

So... Are the United States worth seeing? Laughing out loud

p.s. i miss the forest... but i feel too tired to play Sad Sad Sad goddamn university and work Puzzled

If you've already seen the

If you've already seen the UK, then why not extend your horizons just for the sake of it? c: I'm an American myself and while the US can be kinda dumpy sometimes... we do have a lot of neat stuff if you're interested in the history of it.

It also depends of on the region you intend to go to as well :3

It REALLY depends on where

It REALLY depends on where you're going...
Where I live, (Virginia) besides the beach, everything is very bland and boring and filled with Nascar watching, beer drinking, pot smoking people. The Beach for us is like our "melting pot" though and can be loads of fun in the summer. Haha.
But it's winter, so the beach is out of the question.

If you go to somewhere like New York, then it's definitely worth your time...
Traveling to different parts of the USA is like traveling to a different world, especially when you go from somewhere like the country to the big city.

Where do you plan on going?

Mhmm, it depends on where you

Mhmm, it depends on where you go. There's some beautiful countryside over here, especially places like Gatlinburg in Tennessee, Taos in New Mexico, and even in my home city of Mobile in Alabama. It's a lot like how Europe is collectively - every state in the US is different and unique in it's own way.

I want to head your way sometime too. I'd love to see the UK as well as many places in Europe.

The thing about America is

The thing about America is that it is massive. I would do some research. What are you interested in? What do you like? What is something you've heard of you'd like to experience first hand, or learn more about? What kind of place do you want to see?

What is unique about America is that it is so massive that there is a great deal of empty space (especially in the mid and south west). If you are looking to be entertained, these wide open areas that can only be crossed by car may seem a waste of time. But if you want to travel for days and simply experience the vastness, that too is a unique experience. Personally, a long road trip once in a while is something I enjoy, to see the mountains, the rivers, valleys, deserts, and the many different kinds of places here.

I can say for Montana that there is a great deal of natural beauty and untouched wilderness. There aren't any big cities and it's a quiet sort of culture. But there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor sports and just to be undisturbed by other people.

Think about what you'd like to experience, do a little research on where you can find that, and go. Definitely go.

I don't strive to be the best, but instead I strive to do my best, and always give it my all every time.

GingerNut yeah, i surely need to extend my horizons)) I know just little common information about the USA))

Ravynn The thing is that I don't know where I'll be able to go. It will be on summer, I just have to make a decision now and deal with all necessary documents (it's easier and cheaper to do it in advance). But I definitely would like to live somewhere near the sea Laughing out loud Just because I live in central Russia and I travel to the sea rarely Puzzled So Virginia seems to be a great place)))
Thank you for your comment Eye

quadraptor Smiling Smiling I extremely like countryside)) after all thia advice I want to see everything Puzzled Redface

eyestrain Thanks for a detailed comment Eye
My attitude to natural beauty is close to yours. As a photographer I really enjoy it:)
Tha main thing is to find a job which will enable me to see all interesting places... And it's hard to choose the things I want to see. The USA are just a little smaller than Russia, so I suppose there are thousands of exciting places to visit and sights to see... Smiling
