...Somewhat.
It turned from a beautiful, sunny day to a horrible, rainy, thunderstorm. I was doing stuff in my room and my father's fiancée, Karen, was helping me out. She was afraid the weather was getting bad so she told me, calmly, to get down to the basement. While I was walking there Karen went to our porch to close the door, and then she started yelling for me to get down in the basement. When we got down there she said she saw a black, spinning, cloud touching the ground. My father was in a studio in our yard, and he worked there, teaching students guitar and recording songs. He also had our black lab, Ruby. In the house we had an Australian Shepard who couldn't go down the stairs, so Karen had to leave her up there, so we were worried. Our cat got down just fine. Karen texted my father to get in the house with some people he was recording with. He brought Ruby and the others, and he helped us get Moxie(the Australian Shepard) down.
After a few minutes the weather got calmer. It was still rainy and windy, so we went up to investigate. There was no tornado, but we had the radio and the T.V on. Apparently there was a tornado watch. But there was a tornado. And Karen saw it, right in the corn field across our street. It was that close.
Luckily, the tornado didn't damage anything. We are lucky that we are alive, especially with the tornado so close to our house.
Oh geez,tornado's are to
Thanks!
Glad to hear you're ok!
I absolutely loathe
...and now it's storming outside ._. >>;
BUT, I'm very glad that all of you are safe! <3
It's storming where I live
Hope you are safe this summer.
Glad you're okay.
Thank you guys, though, I
While we were in the basement I worried about my mother, and her dog(Off topic; we thought he was mostly Collie, but because of his coloring, we are now started to think he's a mix of an Australian Shepard and a collie),who lived a few miles from my father's and Karen's. I called her hoping she was okay. Fortunately, she called back, alive. And Dusty, the dog, is fine.
I'm just glad we can't get hurricanes here. What just happened was extremely scary, I don't need anty more scare, and plus, I have never even been in a tornado before.
Oh gawd, yesterday sucked!
Well, anyways, glad your fine! <3
... I guess the whole country
Update: Today we found out it was an actual tornado. The news said there was an F1 tornado that hit a town near where we lived. We aren't sure if the tornado that we saw in the field was the particular one, but even if it wasn't, it probably also was an F1. It really didn't do anything, no damage or deaths. All that really happened was we saw a tornado and we took cover. Nothing serious.
Oh my gosh...that is
Glad everything's alright.
