I drew probably somewhere around 25 sketches and rough speedpaints of these two trying to find the right feeling... It's strange, how it's so there in screenshots, but so difficult to capture.
I tried so many times because I was startled how connected I felt to someone I'd only known for a few hours and never shared a word with.

I love the pose, and the angle. The curve of the spine of the deer to the left (Brd?), is just amazing. I've never seen a picture that daring, pose-wise. And I am in love with your interpretation of the gazelle antlers. They look so sturdy and strong. Their expressions, and even the way they are against eachother could be reserved for any sort of relationship. It could work for friends, best friends, mates (etc.)....
This is amazing. All of your artwork is. You convey the beauty of The Endless Forest so well in your use of color, shading/lighting, and form. I especially like the shape of their faces, their noses in particular. Very nice work, eyestrain. It is always a treat to come across one of your pictures.
I love it, it's so gentle and so touching. every detail is fits and flow like fur should.
