A theory about Candle Antlers?

I wonder if they smoke, or what kind of candle they smell like.

I have a theory though. I feel it would be more of a faint smoke, or a heavy incense-like aroma. They would be thick candles and thin candles, depending on where they are placed on the antler.... not exactly how they appear in-game, but close I guess.

Anyone else have theories?

(you all have no idea how much ammo for a character this is giving me, so I will work on it over the long weekend, though I don't know if it would come to fruition cause I have too many characters already, and I REALLY need to focus on Wild Thing!)

I love the candle antlers

I love the candle antlers (and thinking about stuff like this).
I've never imagined a set smell or appearance for them though, I think the smell and details would change from character to character.

I have however always liked the idea of the candles burning down as the deer gets older and eventually, when that character is ready to die, they would gutter out.

Or maybe something about the

Or maybe something about the number of candles is equivalent to the number of "lives" or the number of times that a character can have a "near-death experience" before he dies... and when all the candles finally sputter out the character knows he will die.

This could also go the way of after each sickness or near-death experience, one would add another candle to their antlers?

Maybe, number of years as a stag can be the same as the number of candles? When they are young the number of candles begins at... what, 6? But some are unlit... when they reach maturity and all the candles are lit, the number of candles grows?

Ohgeez... Maybe when the deer dies the candles' fires consume the body, effectively cremating it?

I'm not sure about the

I'm not sure about the candles representing lives personally, I like to think of all the candles as one big symbolism myself but I like how you think. There are certainly a few theories that interest you, I look forward to seeing what you settle on.

Hmmm...I never thought of the candles as having a scent, but I like the incense idea. I agree that the candles would likely appear different for each character. Personally, I've always thought of the candles as lit by a sort of magic - if the wind were to blow them out, or they were to get wet, they would be magically re-lit (sort of like trick birthday candles).

I also like the image of candle wax dripping over and covering the antlers.
