Unreachable [Sasha]

"How are you feeling today?"
"Fine. Can I go home now?"
"No...our session has just begun."
"I told you, there is nothing wrong with me."
"Normal people do not attempt to kill themselves."
"So I have heard."
"You are still having hallucinations?"
"No."

Friend

It’s been far too long, but the last time you laughed ‘til you cried
You were alone in your room, tapping away at the keys
To your new friend of yesterday—
No, maybe a month:

Just another face hundreds of miles away,
Just another someone like you—
You knew, and she did too.

The Crafter.

A sort of...bio-ish thing? :S

[=9] Sparx' hooves were the only things making a noise that warm evening. His brilliant orange pelt shone under the burning light of the setting sun. The black stripes scattered against the fire-like orange looked like curling claws, reaching down to the underbelly. His antlers covered the area by his head, protecting it. They looked like two giant brown bat wings, poised, ready to take flight.
But Sparx was not here admiring the view, he was here because stories sparked his curiousity. A young stag called Shroud had told of a doe called Crafter, living in a secret place in the forest. She was saind to be the maker of Masks....and coffins.
The only hint Shroud had given to where she was, was this: " When you find the spot, you see: A sea of dark blue droplets, a jungle of twisting vines. Look not with your eyes for her, but with your mind. "
It was confusing for Sparx. How could a jungle be on a sea? he thought.

Sparx, stopped. And looked.
He saw and found a ring of huge, silver birch trees. The way they had grown made them look like guardians, were they protecting something? There seemed to be a dip in the ground , and slowly he moved to the edge of it.
He gasped and understood what Shroud meant.
Infront of him the dip was filled with blue flowers, like dark blue droplets hanging from each stem. Their roots and stems twisted together with bushes and twigs. It all seemed to form a carpet, and it was beautiful. The place looked almost like a bowl, the soil a reddish brown.

He had also heard this Crafter deer was dangerous.
With his heart thudding against his ribs he moved down the edge of the bowl, searching in the vines for movement. He could see nothing but vines. With his nose and hooves, he pushed flowers and bushes out the way , still finding nothing. He had covered the whole 'bowl' by now, and nothing was there. He felt utterly foolish.

I miss the stars, the galaxies
My trees with ever-growing leaves
My moons with deep and hollow craters
My planet and my world

Unraveling the Wirewood - Zephyr's Story

The Artificial Deer

Zephyr awoke, her body feeling strange. Her vision wasn't so great, she felt like she was drowning...

Her eyes opened up a little more, and she realized that she really was in water! Cables and other mechanical parts were connected to her body, which floated within a tube filled with water. Her face was covered with a breathing apparatus, which kept her alive in stasis.

She tried to move her legs, and she strangely could feel them there, but...

Zephyr looked down at her body - her front two legs were missing!

She panicked at once, she wanted out of the chamber, she wanted to see what had become of her body.

And then...a small needle stuck into her neck from a little machine within the tube, and she was sedated. Her eyes closed, and all she could think about was her family...and if she'd ever see them again...

When Zephyr awoke, she was no longer in the tube, but on an operating table. Her body was mostly covered with a cloth, and her eyes were blinded by several lights that shone down on her. There were several humans around her - some stroking her back and forehead, others tinkering with strange metal appendages that had been attached to her. She didn't understand what was going on, and little by little her vision and hearing came back. She didn't struggle, she just lay there and waited to see what would happen next.

"It's ready to go.", one of the humans said. The others uncovered Zephyr, helping her to her feet. She was still drowsy from the sedative, but she managed to stand on her hind legs coming off of the table. Then they helped her move her new front limbs onto the floor. The legs made a slight 'clink' sound when they hit the ground, and Zephyr was slightly wobbly on them, but she was able to stand.

"Come here, my doe.", one of the humans said from a distance. She held a bowl of water, and upon seeing it, Zephyr suddenly felt very thirsty.

Oceans cannot put ghosts to rest...

But Leiwitz could.

[center]He was there. Waiting for them. They would come and go: just like the little flys that would rest in him. Every time he talked, flys would come out of his mouth like a river. Some say he was made from filth itself, while others think the gods made him to "guide" lost souls, he fed on them instead.
His body was a home to filth, the smell was deadly, yet foolish little fawns still chose to come closer.

Curiousity can kill even the most mature adults in this forest. He waited, waited patiently for them to come close enough. The small bodies fell to the ground like bees that get attracted to the sweet powder in the flowers. One by one, they fell. Bowing. Smiling. Screaming for help. For their mother to come and save them. Blood, was then followed by death.

No life in his eyes, no warmth of his skin,no beating of his breast. His soul, as empty and dark as the night. He laughs at the blows of antlers and satisfaction lites up when the mother finds its child, crying for thier fawn that fell a victim to this monster. For eternity, he walks in this forest: wanting to get out.

A fawn approached him slowly, not too far away. As he got up, it was obvious this demon was not a normal sized deer. Watching, the small creature bowed politely at him. The gesture was not returened, he simply turned a blind eye to it and motioned for it to go away. For the first time, he spared one's short life. Now it was the fawns choice : should it ignore the warning it would die and be devoured into darkness, eaten by flies first. Leiwitz did not eat first, the flies did. The little one looked around its surroundings : by the time it sighted the flies and strench coming out from his mouth as he breathed heavily, silently. It quickly moved away from the big demon and ran off to its brother.

The Story Of Shroud (soon to be illustrated)

Shroud was never a stag to talk much. Some say he was always, 'shroud'ed in mystery.
No-one ever quite understood that strange, young deer. He would remain quiet until the touch of winter filled the forest.
He would never laugh and dance with other deer. He would never gallop and spring about, flicking his back legs up in the air. He would just ...
sit and,
watch.

Spring:

His pelt is that sleek , blue black with a white under belly. His face is of a deer, remaining always thoughtful. On his head are two bumps for antlers, the beginning of the antlers growing.
If a deer approached him , he would turn his back and walk away. If they followed, he would stop and sit down. Wait, for them to leave.
He loved to spend his time listening to the birds. Watching the young rabbits with their kittens hopping about the burrows.
His favourtie spot was under the willow, by the pond.
There, he would look out into the distance. If a fawn approached him and sat down, or begged him to play, he seemed to ingore them, or, he would turn and just walk away.
Not a word was whispered from his lips, not even a sound as he stepped.

Summer:

His pelt seems darker in colour and shines a little brighter in the hot sun. The two little bumps have grown into the next stage. Two black antlers jut up from his skull, they curve in the middle. Although they look small the healthy gleam and texture indicates they are tough.
Shroud now would start to make more sound. He moved around a lot more.
On the brightest, most colourful of days he would introduce him self to several chosen deer.
Two or three. Never more.
When he had performed his regal bow he would trot with them , sometimes even run.

Seed's Poetry Corner: The Battle for Spring

I write this in the hope that he will come back and see it soon. I'm not sure if it's better or worse than the first I wrote, though I may well mean it more. Iaurdagnire is a good muse, though.

The Battle for Spring

Struggle against the sea,
that howling wolf
who drives you from beginning to end.
Those teeth are deadly sharp!

That howling wolf
who bears the scent of salt and flowers --
those teeth are deadly sharp,
and drive your blood against your flesh.

Who bears the scent of salt and flowers?
Your body blends into the deep blue sea,
it's driven your blood against its flesh,
and the froth is like your underbelly.

Your body blends into the deep blue sea --
is that you, bobbing among the waves?
The froth is like your underbelly,
The fog so blinding white.

Is that you, bobbing among the waves?
Is it a trick of the light?
The fog is so blinding white,
you could already be lost.

Is it a trick of the light?
No, I believe in the strength of your breath.
You could already be lost --
I can only pray it isn't so.

I believe in the strength of your breath
that carries you from beginning to end.
I can only pray it is so --
Struggle against the sea!
