Lurking on the border (Another new character, introduction. WIP)

[=brown] A massive creature, reminicant to a stag walks at the edge of the forest. As he walks, he takes care not to step into the midst of the trees. His massive ruby antlers seem to glitter in the sunlight, and his stride is high and proud. His eyes, all six of them, however contain intellegence, and distant anger. He pauses, flicking his long tail behind himself, and shifts his gaze toward the forest, ears perking at the sound of mooing. A low growl escapes his throat, echoing past the skull over his face. "Murderers... decendants of murderers... Sickening beasts." he snarls, and trots away again, back to the real world. "One day mother... father... Vengance."

As he walks, two ghostly figures rise out of the ground, both having very similar forms to the stag. Though these two are somewhat smaller, and perhaps younger, it's clear they bore some relation. The first, a buck with almost equally impressive antlers to the live stag... and the second, a doe with long black feathers in place of antlers, and eyes glowing like a blue flame. The ghost doe speaks, breaking the relative silence. "Big brother... You know I hate to nag, but it's been centuries. When shall we step foot into the forest again?" she speaks mornfully. The massive stag slows his gait, and comes to a slow stop. He looks up toward the bright sun. "If ever, it will be soon... but we cannot enter as we are. You remember, both of you, how everyone we cared for had been persecuted... murdered... based on our appearance. I'll find a way to change my own appearance, before I step in... and seek our revenge." He figured aloud. The younger stag furrows a brow behind his ghostly skull. "How do you plan on doing that, Archeluis?" he questioned.

The stag smiled behind his skull, momentarilly flashing perfect shark-like teeth. "The forest has it's magic, but a necromancer with enough spirits... has his own 'magic' to experiment with." he explained simply.

The Little Fawn, Illusive

A Short Story

___________________________________________

'What a strange occurence this is.' The old oaks whisper.
'It just appeared there without a birth. No mother. No father.'
'Oh but dear brethen, it has magic as its mother and father.' The oldest tree says.
The trees seemed to nod in agreement.

The Third Memory

[sub]Whyss was used to skulldeer by now. No, he wasn't going to necessarily rush up to them out of nowhere to make friends with them, as about ninety percent of the time they tended to be volatile(and/or hungry) but as of late he generally found them less of an immediate threat if he just left them alone.

The one he'd been following this morning, however, seemed... odd.

It did not swagger through the trees, nor prance, nor move stealthily. It... staggered. Moving almost blindly, only altering direction if necessary. It moved sluggishly - only lifting its hooves just high enough to keep in locomotion.

The huge, dark body was messily scattered with what might have once been bright monarchical colors, but had dulled into the darkness of the pelt over the years.

And the skull.

It was not picked clean as most tended to be, no. It seemed more like the flesh had rotted from it, a pinch of skin hanging off here and there, the skin shriveled and peeling.

The beast hesitated in step, standing, no, swaying: knees shivering noticeably, it slowly swung its massive head from side to side, ripped and frayed ears slowly moving radially.

Then he saw the eyes.

The stag's lids had rotted off long ago, leaving the eyeballs exposed to all kinds of horrors. They were grayed and pitted, and Whyss gasped, wondering if the hulking giant could even see.
