Aiattaua's Soul

Washed away by the blackness.

---

The light of the sun streamed though the branches of trees, creating little streaks of sunlight on the golden forest path. Aiatt trotted along, to go to the pond for a drink. He took a deep breath and realized something was not right.

There were no other deer. No silly fawns playing and chasing after butterflies. There was not the smell of any other creature, just the cold, eerie wind. It suddenly got cold, and with the breath of the cold wind Aiatt shivered, and his eyes stung while a chilly breeze blew.

It stopped, and the world seemed darker now. A storm is coming in, Aiatt thought to himself, and kept moving on. Although he did not trot with happiness, he now slowly sauntered, as the cold, silent winds blew.

The snap of a twig and the rustling of bushes broke the silence.

Who's there? Aiatt called, twitching his ears. There was no other sound, and no scent. Was it his imagination? Suddenly something black plopped right in front of the elephant deer, a black glob. It quickly slivered up is leg and covered his body. Aiatt struggled to shake it off but the black thing's grip was strong. The elephant buck was wrestling with a black thing.

His body was covered in the black goo, and the goo slowly crawled up his neck and on his ears. As the goo did this it's grip tightened, and now Aiatt couldn't even move his legs or neck. He screamed for help, but it was cut off as the black goo covered his mouth and head. The mask fell off, and Aiatt fell to the ground, unconscious.

The goo went into his body, turning everything black. It went for his brain, turning it black. It erased his memories and rearranged his thought and behavior...

The goo then left, leaving the elephant deer's body. His fur was pure black and so were his antlers.

Then a king appeared out of the bushes, seeing the goo had done it's job.

Shutterfly In My Eyes (RP - Open)

[=10]Hello everyone :3 I'm very new to this site and I am using little posts like this to get more in character with my girl :3 She doesn't have a bio up yet, so I will just explain her to the best of my abilities. If you have a question about her please don't hesitate to ask! I'm always looking for new deer to add to Shaila's relationships so feel free to post up friendship/sibling/etc ideas as well! :3

The fawn strutted through the forest, head held high with a halo of purple flowers displaying her imaginary rank as queen of the forest. Her steps were high, lighthearted as she was, as she halted and gave a dignified cough. "My loyal subjects..." she began, keeping her head high as she looked down to a patch of butterflies resting on a patch of grass "The time has come for me to ask something of you. I require the crimson Holy Flower... I require you to search far and wide for this spectacle!" With that, she shook her head and smiled at them. She nodded, the butterflies escaping in every direction. The ones that disappeared to the right of her, however, disappeared prematurely. The loss of sight in her right eye never slowed the fawn down. She was adapted to it due to it being a birth defect. Like other misfortunes in her life, she merely looked the other way and ignored it. To most she kept it a secret... As of now there was only one deer alive that she knew of that was aware of it, and her state was currently unknown. Her mother, separated from her when a great storm struck lightning down upon their thicket. The doe and fawn had scampered away, only to find themselves alone. She wished for her mother to find her, but she was too proud to say so.

Hobbick, Gobbick and Nordick

I'm writing this short entry regarding my imaginary friends when I was very young on the advice of my good friend Quad. My ability to artfully produce creative fiction is somewhat stunted (as any reader of Limbo could tell you), so this will be a non-fiction entry. In truth, I have almost no memory of these events, as they happened when I was around 3-4 years old. Almost all of this information was gleaned from my parents and relatives who told me their versions of these stories when I was much older.

A Prophecy for a King (Mr. Sanguine and Hex shortstory)

For this contest

Her eyes caught a glimpse of something approaching. She tilted her head curiously. Was it a star falling to Earth? Was it the Moon that had decided to give itself back to the planet? She didn't know. She only saw a glowing red thing coming closer.

Her fogged eyes could not make out the form of the other deer. He seemed to radiate to her, a brilliant red aura that was otherwise unseen, masked by his red fur.

For a brief moment, she caught a glimpse of his actual shape - a great red stag with a glorious crown atop his head. Being nearly blind, the darkness that took her sight away was easily pierced through by light. This one was no different. He resembled her older brother in a way...though glowing red instead of white.

The doe stood here. She rarely walked unless she was accompanied by another. She would often trip over those she could not see. It was a burden to her, so that was why she sat so often. She smiled now, sure that she was not seeing a falling star or other strange thing, but that she was in the presence of one who seemed to radiate outwardly. He would not understand what the fortuneteller's eyes saw.

"Hello there, you must be a king as I see the crown you are wearing.", Hex spoke at once, a slight smile on her lips. She was never wrong.

The stag stopped, unsure what to think of this strange doe who seemed to look like the sky itself. The darkness of the night hid her well, he actually did not see her there and was a little startled by the voice. "Hello to you, my fair lady.", Mr. Sanguine replied.

The doe gave a slight nod in his direction. [=purple]"It seems as if there is something on your mind.

Starfire(Quad's writing challenge)

Written for the "Imaginary friend" challenge!
___________________________________________________

I rode that horse for miles in my sleep.

That massive black stallion was quick as the wind, and when those great raven's wings at his sides rose up, he tested the gods with his speed. It was all I could do to hold on.

He galloped through lands never seen before by mere human eyes, and took to the skies to see above the clouds, straddling worlds as he tumbled and rolled in the air and then came plummeting back to the earth, forming whirlwinds in his wake. His wild red eyes chased away ghosts and tamed the wildest of monsters into submission. He was gentle to the kind and pure of heart, though; he was no cruel beast, but rather a defender, and a friend loyal to the death. Freed from the plastic that encased his spirit, he was no longer a frail, hollow shell. His breath was fire, and his laughter was like thunder. And he was mine, though I was nothing so grand as an owner or a rider; I was a witness.

I think I went a bit wild dramatizing this... tell me what you think. xD
It *was* inspired by my imaginary adventures with a black, winged horse I named Starfire when I was about 6. All of this actually started with a toy of mine, a plastic black horse with red eyes. And I saw a book about a horse called Starfire, and it just seemed to fit, so that was his name. He was the biggest horse ever, with giant black wings, and he became mine, so he let me ride him and join him on adventures all over the world. I remember making up a bunch of other pegasi(? Is there a plural for pegasus?) of all sorts of colors, but he was the one I 'played' with the most, or had interacting with the others rather than giving them major roles in my stories. He was just the coolest one to me xD

On the other shore [Cat Chris]

For my writing challenge, a story about my imaginary friend when I was a child. Please feel free to participate as well, I'd love to read a story about your imaginary friend when you had one (or if you still do).

My imaginary friend was named Cat Chris, and was an anthropomorphic feline character who had impressive speed and reflexes. He fought against an evil character named Slimeco, who inspired the earliest stages of Iugulare's infection. So you'll see infected creatures pop up in the story, but from a different villain than Iugulare.

Anyway, enjoy.

-----------------------------------------

The distant shore was slowly approaching in the early morning light. He stood on the edge of the boat, another ferrying him across. It was an island of horrors, as it harbored many production plants by that evil being named Slimeco. It was one source for many of the infected creatures that had begun spreading throughout the world. The facility needed to be shut down, or else Slimeco's domination of Earth would continue to spread.

He needed to be careful here. The island was crawling with infected creatures, all who would love to capture and infect Slimeco's enemy. Even the waters teemed with infected whales and dolphins. They watched the boat close by, unsure whether to attack or to wait. He was lucky they didn't knock him off the boat.

He can't swim. One of the few weaknesses of being a cat.

His feline ears perked and twitched, listening for any signs of danger. His eyes were locked on the distant horizon - green eyes with slit pupils. His fur was golden with brown stripes that lined his cheeks and arms. He wore loose clothing much like a martial artist, with some supplies on his belt. The less he had to carry, the faster he could be.

The boat drifted to the shore.
