Little Chipmunk . Rhesi

This is a piece I started a few weeks ago, and hope to finish! She's a character I love dearly, but have but the art on hold while I work on other pieces. I fully intend on finishing her, but this particular image is more of an off-and-on project.

Trekka Concept Final

So I decided to go with Deer Face 2.

While I think the human faced deer is great, I just am not seeing it for Trekka. Soo I am going with the best of the deer faced designs which is #2.

For some reason the gold markings are forming last. It is strange. For now she is all red, save for the gradient markings on her limbs, tail and head, and that white marking on her face. As she ages the gold will start to form. First thin random places, then it will grow and grow, till she is that beautiful pelt design.

Her Bio will be uploaded later tonight.

Can't Decide...

I can't decide between human face or deer face for Trekka. Someone help me... D:

Which one?

Human Face or Deer Face 1/Deer Face 2

Excuse both the horrible deer face lines. I tried to sketch a face on something I don't normally draw without a reference. Sad

About the Image
This is my doe character, Nevé [neh-vay]. I've been trying to decide on a design for her, and I can't choose between either an extremely simple appearance or something more on the complex side - there's apparently no mid-way look for this gal! I have a feeling, though, that she's going to end up being either albino or melanistic.

Artist's Comments
Those front legs about killed me! I swear I spent close to an hour getting them to this point, and I'm still not completely satisfied. Oh well. The anatomy - to me, at least - has a bit of a wonky feeling, but this is only my second real attempt at drawing a deer. The switch from horses to these lanky-legged creatures has been surprisingly difficult. I believe what has been the hardest for me to grasp, though, are the cloven feet.
