One day I will finally get it through my head that Lier does not belong here anymore XD Quick doodle/sketch that I may or may not color in the future. Lordy i haven't drawn a deer in AGES, it felt weird. And for those who can remember him, Lier grew a lot x3 no more lanky little dorky Lier deer :<

I got the tournament entry results last week, out of 34 artists that entered they let 16 in.

Lier was #8 C: so we're in and on to round one. I guess that's where I got the title for this from, when this tournament is over, he probably won't be considered knightly anymore, and certainly there will be no reason to smile. This tournament is dark man, if the other players don't off you, the plague that started the whole thing will...

I guess you could say this piece also came about from a piece of free-form prose I barfed out earlier, click read more if you feel like reading crappy writing X3 This tournament got me thinking about the future of this guy, because as a character, I'm really reluctant to let this guy go. He is definitely my favorite of all my deer, err, was....is...I don't know. He's supposedly dead but obviously isn't because Cato's silly. Let's just say that he is unofficially dead XD

Anywho, back to the point: I love my Lier deer, and I'd love to see his character develop. And this tournament is helping him go in almost exactly the direction I want him to go. But i can't help but remember the jaunty, carefree little knight who romed this Forest and annoyed the crap out of everyone he met. Atiq's little adopted brother who brought joy and drama all at once. At one time, Lier took this place by storm and then fell into (almost) infamy. For all the good and bad memories, the Lier that was born here is gone. what becomes of him now is still up to chance, I don't know how he's going to change, but he is.

Guess the short of it is, I want to say a final goodbye to Lier Deer. I'll probably still doodle him from time to time, but he will never technically come back. New Lier might visit, but meh, no high hopes for that.

My storytelling is rusty, so this thing sorta sucks. Yay spazz writing!
