I thought this would be a fun topic, but what do you consider to be the one song that describes your life?
Mine has to be
Bon Jovi's Lost Highway
In my rearview mirror
My life is getting clearer
The sunset sighs and slowly disappears
These trinkets once were treasure
Life changes like the weather
You grow up, grow old, or you hit the road 'round here
So I drive (drive drive)
Watching white lines passing by
My plastic dashboard Jesus
Waiting there to greet us
Hey Hey I finally found my way
Said goodbye to yesterday
Hit the gas, there ain't no brakes on this lost highway
Yeah, I'm busting loose, I'm lettin go
Out on this open road
It's independence day on this lost highway
Hey hey, hey hey
Don't know where I'm going
But I know where I've been
I'm afraid of going back again
So I drive (drive drive)
Years and miles are flying by
And waiting there to greet us
Is my plastic dashboard Jesus
Hey Hey
Hey Hey I finally found my way
Said goodbye to yesterday
Hit the gas, there ain't no brakes on this lost highway
Hell, I'm busting loose, I'm lettin go
Out on this open road
It's independence day on this lost highway
Hey hey
Hey, hey
Oh patron saint of lonely souls
Tell this boy which way to go
Guide the car, you've got the keys
Farewell to mediocrity
Kicking off the cruise control
And turning up the radio
Got just enough religion
And a half a tank of gas
Come on
Let's go
I finally found my way
Said goodbye to yesterday
Hit the gas, there ain't no brakes on this lost highway
I'm busting loose, I'm lettin go
When I'm out on this open road
It's independence day on this lost highway
Hey hey
The reason why I love this song so much is because it describes life changing, and things guiding the direction of life. For me, my life is starting to change because I'm almost done with college, and I feel like I've got more self esteem now that I'm soon going to be a professional in my career instead of just a college student with a part time job. And not only that, I'll soon be living my dream job. I wanted to dig and study fossils when I was a child, and I'm studying that as well as rocks, minerals, rock beds, magma chambers, the water table, and so on. I'm living my dream.
The entire theme of driving and traveling really describes me too. I love to travel, and I am very adventurous as a person - at first I was really picky on what I liked, but now I'm trying new things and learning from others. It is especially apparent for me in music, which I listen to just about everything.
Well, this is just the story of my life. What do you consider to be yours and why?

Forest FAQ
Hm...this is a hard question,
One Week is a bit of a song that I share with my boyfriend, as it sort of sums the two of us together perfectly: we're both stubborn and uncompromising and reeeally don't like to admit that either of us is wrong on a point! Not to mention that the song mentions my high school!
Sheep go to Heaven is sort of a complicated song, but it fits my practical nature while still playing to my creative and metaphorical side. It also nicely sums up how I feel about organized religion...(no offence to anyone intended, everyone has a right to what they believe.) Some may find the song morbid, but I believe the message that we shouldn't take life for granted and spend the time that we have on this Earth doing things that we love and having a fun time.
Anyway, that's me in a short summary...thanks for making me think about this!

It's not happy, it's not sad, but it's certainly not neutral. It can help me to cry when I need, it can uplift my spirits when I need. It has elements of everything, and though there are ups and downs, it predominantly just IS. And what it IS is beautiful and a little bit magical, in the end.
It's Life, no?
Heh, sorry if I've brought to much of a serious note to this. ^^;
I don't know about actual
I'm not a lyrics person, so I relate to tunes and sounds.
