Her eyes closed to rest that evening. Her murky, rancid body anchoring her to the floor.

She heard a warm whisper, and a slight buzzing as the doe felt lighter.
Ascending a transparent staircase to the surface.

But then she rose higher. The doe rose to the very stars.
They were so close. The stars were like a luminous blanket, reflecting the world below.

And then ravenflight slid through them, as if she was sliding through water, and came to resurface at an endless lake.

The lake glared in the morning sun. Her body became etheral and filled with stars. She felt her ages fall off her. Her burdens.
She was weightless.

And there in the distance, that starry bodied figure stood.
Smiling.

And ravenflight leapt towards her.
