Speedpaint - Nekumbra's puppet

Another scenario I wanted to draw out, this one involving Pema and Nekumbra. I want to write this story sometime soon, where Nekumbra is able to sever Pema's strings and manipulate her.

The other scenario I did recently was Anirapio squeezing the life out of Quad. I plan to draw several more scenes from my stories and future writings like this.

I might stop using the 'airbrush' tool for these, I used to like the texture of it, but now I almost feel like it makes the artwork look sloppy. Not sure...does anyone have an opinion either way?

I don't like to use the

I don't like to use the airbrush tool very often just from personal preference. I'll mostly use it for shading when I do. I prefer more solid lines in other areas. Really, though, it's up to you to decide what feels right.
Here, I think it lends the picture a fuzzy, somewhat dream-like quality and makes it feel like the nightmare I'd imagine it would be for poor Pema.

Ah that's a good point. I'm still experimenting but I did start to notice that using the pen tool for coloring does make it look a little cleaner. I may do some more practice both ways and see what works the best.

Thanks for the feedback Eye

Oh, Pema ;A;.
She looks so upset, and understandably so.
I really love how you did the wings on Ani, too ouo.

I basically agree with Aiv, too.

You could try using the air

You could try using the air brush tool set larger than you need, and then clean up where you go outside the lines with the eraser. That should help your deer look soft, but keep your lines clean.

I like this, it's a good illustration and shows character really well. It's also helpful to draw larger, as I'm sure you're discovering.
