Hello again. its me :I
i was wondering a few things about this awesome site. like:
1 - would i be ready to make one of those pages for your deer that you guys call a 'biography'?
2 - if you really like music and think that you could use it for your deer, are you allowed to bring it to this site, and if you are, how?
3 - another thing i was wondering was how would you get a picture that you drew on this site? is it like for your profile picture?
i might think of other questions i want to ask, but for now this is all i can think of.
1. I think you already have
2. Music is "embedded" in a bio with code. A good simple way to do this isto find a youtube video with the song you want, click share, click embed, and then edit that code they gave you so all you see is the play button and not the video itself.
FOr these examples I have added *asterisks* so you can see the code, if they are removed, it will post video once the proper URL is inserted.
This is what they give you: <*iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/eeyKU8wGCd4?rel=0"" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen><*/iframe>
I change the width and height, replace the "rel=0" with "modestbranding=&showinfo=0&fs=0", and remove the "allowfullcreen" so it looks like this:<*iframe width="150" height="25" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/gSrSLbQk_Og?modestbranding=1&showinfo=0&fs=0" frameborder="0"><*/iframe>
When the asterisks are removed, it will post a little player to your blog.
I like to leave a volume button for people so I dont accidentally blast them if their audio settings are different than mine.
Otherwise if you have Spotify you can just right click the song you like and copy the embed code right there for a larger, but nicer looking player. You can do this for whole playlists if you want. But Im not sure if people can listen to them without spotify, Im still experimenting with this.
3.Pictures are easier. Just upload a picture you want to a site like photobucket or any other image hosting site, and the easiest code is this:
<*center>[*IMG]DIRECT LINK URL FOR YOUR PIC HERE[*/IMG]<*/center>
Again. remove the asterisks, plug in a picture URL, and you get this:
whoa. thank you Toya it
i guess i'll test it on stitches' biography then.
thank you
where would you get code for a fancey biography?
i don't want it to look too fancy, but just so it looks good like Toya's bio?
