Solace

This game is amazing! It takes you through the stages of grief, where you represent a soul constantly being attacked and threatened, but little by little you grow stronger. The game is beautiful visually and the audio is wonderful. I especially love the last three stages (Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance).

The quotes in the game are also very beautiful, teachings and quotes from Rumi. The one that really touched me was, "You were born with wings. Why prefer to crawl through life?"

Another game I will mention is Shadow Snake. It is very similar to Solace, beautiful imagery, quotes, and music combined in a great game.

Rumi! ♥

I've never heard of this game, but it sounds very interesting. I do know Rumi's poetry, however...we have accumulated several books of it at my house.

I just played through the

I just played through the entire game (about an hour's worth of play) and by the time I get to the Acceptance stage, I just feel wonderful. It's like feeling threatened and useless, and then suddenly you realize how powerful you really are. Then nothing can stop you!

Thanks for mentioning Shadow Snake, I was just playing it and found it a lovely, relaxing little game. Smiling
It reminded me of flOw, which is another soothing game with beautiful graphics and music. I highly recommend it.
