The temperature started to rise at snail speed, winter unwilling to realize it icy grip on the beautiful forest, much to the dismay to some of the dear. Mystic enjoyed the winter ,in all honesty, the cold was a shock to the senses and made him feel alive the first time it hit his brown fur – it had been his first winter, you see. The fawn also enjoyed the fact that, the winter brought people together – friends, family, and even strangers huddle together for warmth, meeting others and mingling. Yet sometimes it could be cruel, many young fawn may not make it this winter or anyone wounded – unless they had herbs at hand and knew how to use them. But life needs it’s balance, even when it comes to death, thinking about the twin gods.
This chilly ,winter morning , he was on a hunt for someone he had meant a few months ago. One of the first deer he had ever meant, wise and quite approachable - Lucas. He had hopped to find him by the lakes he said he’d teach him how to swim at, but the ice covering the water had made that promise wait just a bit longer to be fulfilled. Looking around know, walking along the stream coming close to the bridge. I’ll keep looking to late evening – then I’ll have to get home before it gets to cold, he thought. Mystic wondered what the stag would say, he had changed a little over the months. Stronger, slightly bigger, he had also gained a few more markings and some locks of maroon started to form on his head – hopping for antlers later in life.
The winter seemed
Longer then what he had been hoping for it to be. But that could just be the part of him talking that hated the cold. It did nothing but make him sluggish and irritable, and the last thing he wanted to do was annoy anyone with his mood. Thankfully, his siblings knew what they had to do to keep him a little more cheerful, curling around each side of him as they slept, and keeping a close eye on him as they looked for food. Lucky for the three of them, with three pairs of eyes and ears, they had been able to find enough food, even share with a few others they had come across now and then.
But the cold was starting to lift. The fingers of winter starting to loosen their hold on the land. But with the sun shining down, things were starting to melt. It would still be a while until it was warm enough to even think about going into the pond, but he had still moved down to the shore, a hoof tapping at the thinning ice across the top of the water.
The forest was starting to come back to life, hazel eyes turning towards a small group of rabbits nibbling on some grass that had appeared from beneath the snow. But his thoughts were pushed from his mind at the sound of footsteps, head lifting and ears perked, tail wagging slightly behind him.
Now, who could that be?
Even with the passing time,
He was a little taller, and his muscles had grown, due to carrying large branches to protect his home. He had maroon locks growing on his head and some new symbols along his body. Besides those factors he was the same deer, the same one that had sat with Lucas and Manda, talking of life and mysteries.
(OCC: Sorry for the long wait I’ve been sick for the longest time -.- )

He would have to forgive the
The smile on the younger stag's face, and the sound of his name as he stopped not far away, had the piebald heart's brain roll over as he thought, trying to piece together just who it was. He lowered his head a little watching the other quietly, before something about the younger deer had a small snort of surprise leave the other.
He lifted a hoof, carefully slipping his mask off his face, laying it at his feet to get a better look at the younger male. Those green eyes were familiar and he couldn't help a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
"I apologize for my slowness. Cold weather is not kind to me. You have certainly grown from thelast time I met you Mystic
(( Is all good. <3 ))
As soon as he heard him
[=#B2FFFF}“Well you seem to be well compared to others. I’m glad for this. How have you been?p[/color] Smiling brightly, his big green eyes wide with curiosity, and happiness, it was good to see one of his friends. He hadn't been able to do so since the forest was so vast and there was so many deer you could live without ever meeting the same deer twice.

(( C: How are you
As soon as he heard him speak, knowing he recognized him he smiled happily, getting closer known, under the same tree as the taller stag. He would have touched his flank in greeting but, he didn’t quite remember if he would mind that. He had learned that his friendliness wasn’t seen as good nor wanted by some and even disliked. But he knew that Lucas didn’t mind, he was just in the habit know of restraining himself.

His words were no lie. He had grown. The young fawn he had met near the beginning of winter had grown into a fine young stag. No antlers yet, but there was nothing wrong with that. Hell, some deer never got antlers, like his brother Ches. But that wasn't his focus at the moment. His sights were resting on the young male that had stopped next to him.
Lucas stretched his head forward a little, taking in Mystic's scent as they stood there, before the words had hazel eyes look back at him, the older stag lifting his head.
"I should be saying that to you. And I have been well. The winter felt long, but it always does for me. Does not help I'm somewhat cold blooded, hmm?" He chuckled, ears flicking back at the sound of some other deer int he distance, before they had perked back towards Mystic.
"I hope the winter was kind to you. It seems to have been. You look well. Bet you'll be runnin' with the big deer soon, hmm?"
No its ok, I am too ;-; But I

Mystic still retained that sooty, earthy smell as he had grown and smiled as the stag became more awaited with it once again. Happy to hear that he had ferried will against the Twin Gods Winter - knowing that t time it could seem cruel. Though there was a certain need for this removal of the weak to further the better growth of the forest - no matter how much Mystic disliked it.
"Yes well, besides one wound and a few scratches I have been warm and healthy throughout the winter." Chuckling at his other comment blushing, remarking "I think in a year or so, yes. Though I don't know how I feel about it. Growing up." Being truthful on his thoughts as he always was, secrets was never the way to go.

Ah yes. Getting a good nose
Getting a good nose full of that scent had him relax more. Even if he knew it was the young stag from the huddle before the snow had really set in, it was still nice to have something that cemented the thought in his mind. A happy rumbling sound started in his chest at that, continuing to watch the other.
He couldn't help his brows arching down slightly at the thought that he had been hurt, even a little. It was silly to think that anyone would pass through a winter without small problems, but he still didn't like to think that Mystic had to put up with anything like a wound, or scratches. Though, it sounded like that had not been anything dangerous, hopefully just small things on his legs, easy to reach and clean.
"Well, I don't think anyone like the idea of growin' up. And to be honest with ya, I don't think anyone truly does. They just act like they have because that's what they are expected to do. Plus, time changes others, experiences do too. Just, don't let anything change you too much, yeah?" He smiled, shifting forward to stand beside the young hart, sharing at least, a little body heat between them.
Mystic smiled at his words
Mystic sat down beside him, sharing some more body warmth with him, as the lingering icy winds hit there flanks. A shiver running up his spine, though his thick fur kept him warm, looking across at his friend and began to wonder. I wonder what Lucas's origin is he thought to him self. The lineage of one's line had been a popular thing on his mind as of late - due to the devilment of his 'intuitions'.
Though another thing on his mind as if late, was The Rut. It seemed to effect a lot of the stags in the forest, and due to his past encounter with the event - Mystic didn't know if he wanted to ever take part in it when it came time to do so in a year or so. Or would his mind be warped to make him talk part in it? make him want to even? He didn't quit understand The Rut and he had been longing to ask someone - Maybe he could ask Lucas when he could looking back at the stag, back into reality.

Of course he cared about him.
He chuckled at the question, before a hum rumbled from his lips.
"Hmmm... things are gonna go weird. They will always keep going weird. But you gotta just take what comes and try to work your way through it. There is no right or wrong way, as long as you work it out for yourself. The things that you go through will influence your thoughts and how you behave around others. Trust your instincts, and not always what others say. There are a good few around with silver tongues who would love to make you dance for them in the most twisted of ways. As long as you surround yourself with others who make you happy, then you will always have someone to talk to."
He looked back at Mystic with a small smile, noticing the questioning look on the young deer's face. He knew that look. He had seen it multiple times, and was sure his own face had sported it now and then.
"If there is anything you wish to ask, then I will try to answer things as best I can."
