Sitting Buddies

Thank you to all of you who have put up with Jettem's 'never-moving-at-all' sitting phase. And to those who are feeling left out, she's still in the phase!
XD

I think I like this phase,

I think I like this phase, all the better to cling to.

" Dearest Todd, you may sit

" Dearest Todd, you may sit near me at any time, any place. I wish to know more about you and talk of other things.

"Will I be no longer useful

"Will I be no longer useful to someone when I grow up? Will I no longer have a value. Will the one I trust the most tell me I am a burden? Explain these things to me. Will it be trough with me? What am I."

It tilted its head to the side and layed quite unsure of the doe and what her answer will be. The little one had no clue what awaited it from here on out.

Lovely doe. (:

Such small things they were.

Such small things they were. Fragile and soft. She stared, wondering. Why do you cling to me like a scared lamb before the slaughter?

" There once was a young fawn, like you who wondered such things. They wondered, they thought. They questioned what was not explained. They followed what they did not understand, what they did not know would change their life."

She plucked a small yellow flower, cloven hoof grasping the tender green stalk as she brought it to the fawns face.

"There will always be someone that needs you. Even if you can't see them or hear them. Burdens are meant to be shared, not dropped. Loved ones will whisper in your ears what you mean to them when you sleep at night, they will tell you stories of our Forest."

Blue eyes watched the clean face of innocence, locked memories flooding to her mind as a crash of emotions swept through her. The red doe moved closer, sheltering the small body from the cruelty they would come across in life.

"As for what you are, you are here, with me. You will grow like the Forest. You will be strong like the trees and gentle like the wind. You will be..."

She leaned in, and whispered into those fluffy ears,

"..my Solice.

The young fawn looked into

The young fawn looked into her eyes and smiled "Solice".

The innocent voice of the fawn slowly whispered "Your Solice...?"

It motioned and twitched one ear as it sat closer to the pretty doe.

An ear turned to the angel's

An ear turned to the angel's voice, a smile creeping along pale lips. Curling herself around the spot of innocence, the pool of red cloaked the Fawn as blood pouring from a new babe's death.

"Mine Solice."

Resting her head on the ground, lids closed as the Forest turned in the wind, bringing with it the whispers of the trees, the stories that yearned to be told to eager minds.
